What about Tapper?

I had heard he was having a good camp, but lost track of his progress.
Does he have any trade value?
Chances of making the 53 ?

Can never have too many CB's or Defensive ends. We are sky high on Gregory right now but Gregory always comes with a BUT. So it's Tank, Taco, Gregory, Armstrong, Tapper and Ealy. We kept 6 DE's last year on the 53 and I don't see keeping fewer. Tapper is worth more on our roster than he is in a trade. He hasn't played a down of NFL football in 2 years. I say he makes the 53 and we'll all know on Saturday

I think Gregory has tossed his but and stepped on it...hes back no but or bud

Trade value? Very little. Making the 53? Yes. I believe he can have more of an impact as part of the rotation than anything he would bring on the trading block.

I have to agree. I think he'd hold more value as a backup option for the Cowboys than anything he might bring in a trade. Unless Seattle likes him and it helps get that other long-rumored deal to happen.

Ealy will be cut in favor of Tapper because Tapper may still have some upside and he's cheap. Cutting Ealy will provide some money needed to pay ET when he finally shows up.

For me it's 10 on the D-line:
DE: Lawrence, Gregory, Taco, Armstrong, Tapper
DT: Collins, Crawford, Woods, Price, Ward

The three in grey are only penciled in and any one could be cut for Irving or to make room for a backup OC.

I would put Datone Jones in for Ward

Hope you're right bud but sometimes the bud just keeps pulling Grego back in. I'll believe it after a couple of years suspension free. In the meantime I'll enjoy the bud free period like everyone else

We carried 12 last year and don't see going lighter. Maybe. Saturday we'll know

I don’t see us keeping Tapper. He is a height/weight/speed guy, but has shown very little as a pro football player. In these preseason games, he seems to have no bend and no power on his rush. Every team in the NFL has a guy like Tapper in their camp.

I think there will be some guys released that have some talent but will get caught in the numbers game. Tapper I think is a one of those guy on the bubble
