But…osmosis!BS has been a garbage OC his whole career. Cut splits? Nonsense. Right up there with position flex. Just more nonsense from these losers.

It actually makes a lot of since. The CB has some advantage on side splits because of the sideline. He knows you are going upfield or inside. You can’t go outside since you are on the sidelineBS has been a garbage OC his whole career. Cut splits? Nonsense. Right up there with position flex. Just more nonsense from these losers.
Mingo unchainedIt means the Cowboys are about to unleash Mingo!
Trading a 5th, which I’m convinced is all anyone else offered would been a solid deal. We will have multiple 5th rnd picks. A 4th was too high. But he was a solid prospect coming out so hopefully he can fit in, the only thing that could make it a terrible idea is if Jerry thinks he’s set at WR. We have to add a WR and depending on how things fall, WR may be the best pick at 12I really understood the thinking on the Lance trade. It didn’t work out, but that happens. I don’t get the Mingo trade at all.
We're going to unleash him on the waiver wireI think the only 'Unleashing' Mingo is going to get is when he's released
This isn’t totally true. He was good in SeattleBS has been a garbage OC his whole career. Cut splits? Nonsense. Right up there with position flex. Just more nonsense from these losers.
Or maybe a line shift to cover the run.You are exactly right .......
A cut split in football is when a wide receiver (WR) cuts their split towards the offensive line. This is also known as a reduced split
- The split is the distance between the offensive line and the sideline.
- A cut split is when the WR is closer to the formation.
- The defense can use the split to diagnose a play.
- A cut split can indicate that the WR will run a drag route, an outside breaking route, or a quick flat.
- The defense may respond with outside shade coverag
I guess I should’ve been clearer. I know why they did it, it just doesn’t make sense to me.Pre-draft the Cowboys really liked him and gave him a 2nd round grade. Getting him with a 4th rounder (and on a rookie contract) as a replacement for Cooks this year made sense to them. Until we get into real football in September, we just have to wait to see how it all works out.
I agree 100% on our 4th was too high given it was apparent it was going to be a top 1/2 of the 4th. A comp pick would’ve made sense, but not our own 4th.Trading a 5th, which I’m convinced is all anyone else offered would been a solid deal. We will have multiple 5th rnd picks. A 4th was too high. Supposedly Micah and Osi are both priorities. If we resign Osi I don’t think we need to reach for one in the first but I’d like to see a quality guyDepending on what they to with Odiggy, the Cowboys might need 2 DT's. Should have last year. HAs nothing to do with Mazi. That position has been ignored for years.
Actually, he hasn't been garbage,BS has been a garbage OC his whole career. Cut splits? Nonsense. Right up there with position flex. Just more nonsense from these losers.
Pour yourself a cup of coffee because reading this will take some time. Try reading it backwards and it's the same stuff.Actually, he hasn't been garbage,
but good to know that you think you're an expert...
there's already been talk about this it's easy to Google his 3 years at Seattle he was calling plays, and he was working with Russell Wilson in that era. Russell Wilson had 101 touchdowns only 25 interceptions and they were top 10 in scoring, and it looks like Russell Wilson was like around 68% on average those four years for completion percentage..
I mean and they were winning games, I don't get where you think he's been garbage is that what you're listening to? I mean I don't get some of the blowback and hate when you can actually literally look this stuff up 2018- 2020, when he was the OC in Seattle they had a pretty good stats and record..
35-7, 31-5, 40-13 those are the 3 years RW worked with BS... Say those numbers are pretty impressive his touchdown interception ratio being that big you're calling that garbage though and before you know that could have been the talent that would be the case for all these coordinators that just got elevated... And in 2021 through the rest of the time he was in Seattle Russell Wilson never had any numbers close to that. Irony>??coincidence? maybe but...
I may not know what cut splits are but I bet he does ,and I bet you don't but I think some of this means he'd rather have his receivers not running the same depth and cutting in the same areas ,and if they're staggered enough they can draw the defense out of the areas of each other's routes versus what we've seen with Mike McCarthy and even sometimes Kellen Moore... guys are running the same depth and then they're in the same area to where a defender from one of the receivers or tight ends can break off and then all of a sudden the guy who was single covered and open is now being double covered and has a guy undercutting the ball I mean I'm not an expert but I don't think that's a good way to run routes and route trees and I'm betting at least he has an idea what he's talking about and maybe he'll fix it maybe he won't but I know one thing we need players you think all these other coordinators just somehow look good you think Kelly Moore became a Super Bowl offensive coordinator overnight or did it happen to be he's loaded every position on offense that his GM put an all in roster around him and now all of a sudden he looks good same with Cliff Kingsbury didn't get good overnight it takes a good roster to help same thing with Ben Johnson you think that he's gonna have that same advantage with the bears I mean any of these guys the first time head coaches are all gonna be on the same level and have to prove themselves because they're not getting all those advantages now it's all on them different staff different roster different circumstances..
So I hate to take it you guys are angry about Brian schochenheimer and I understand the hiring process is frustrating it's irritating and we're annoyed and maybe we didn't all get who we wanted but that's not on Brian schottenheimer and Brian schottenheimer is not a bad OC but you know what I saw who was a bad offensive coordinator I really didn't like a lot of what I saw with Mike McCartney but I wouldn't call what he did garbage dad a pretty good first season under him but I saw the first half of both seasons a very cautious play caller not aggressive they were playing not to lose games instead of being aggressive and taking the game to the defense trying to win games from the first snap of the first game until the very last and let's hope that maybe BS has some of that that's what we want that's what we need some improvement...
That's right, take it from the expert!BS has been a garbage OC his whole career. Cut splits? Nonsense. Right up there with position flex. Just more nonsense from these losers.
Who’s the expert? That's right, take it from the expert!
Brian Schottenheimer was literally the OC this past year....I may not know what cut splits are but I bet he does ,and I bet you don't but I think some of this means he'd rather have his receivers not running the same depth and cutting in the same areas ,and if they're staggered enough they can draw the defense out of the areas of each other's routes versus what we've seen with Mike McCarthy and even sometimes Kellen Moore... guys are running the same depth and then they're in the same area to where a defender from one of the receivers or tight ends can break off and then all of a sudden the guy who was single covered and open is now being double covered and has a guy undercutting the ball I mean I'm not an expert but I don't think that's a good way to run routes and route trees and I'm betting at least he has an idea what he's talking about and maybe he'll fix it maybe he won't but I know one thing we need players you think all these other coordinators just somehow look good you think Kelly Moore became a Super Bowl offensive coordinator overnight or did it happen to be he's loaded every position on offense that his GM put an all in roster around him and now all of a sudden he looks good same with Cliff Kingsbury didn't get good overnight it takes a good roster to help same thing with Ben Johnson you think that he's gonna have that same advantage with the bears I mean any of these guys the first time head coaches are all gonna be on the same level and have to prove themselves because they're not getting all those advantages now it's all on them different staff different roster different circumstances..

PicksSchotty referenced his offense will feature cut splits. For those more well versed in X’s and O’s what does that mean?
I’ve seen some on twitter say it’s like the Rams where the WRs are close to the line. What advantage does that give? Seems it would create more congestion for the run game.
