The Zone is not a real reflection of Cowboy fandom. It’s a niche group of fans with fairly extreme views at both ends.

People who post and read about a team every single day or who listen to sports radio (and particularly those who call in to talk) are going to typically be more similar to what we have here than the man on the street. No doubt we are at one end of the bell curve.

Even a foray to other Cowboys fan boards will find them closer to the “middle” than the Zone but still, generally, more unhappy with things than the average fan.

The vast majority of Cowboy fans are disappointed but will continue to be regular fans and will continue to root for the team without much fuss.

After 58 years I may be out. Fall fishing can be stupendous here in Texas and I can deer hunt more. I am pretty frustrated with this whole mess. Contemplating! Even though I despise divorce I did kick my lying, cheatin 1st wife to the curb for breaking my heart multiple times. I can do the same here with the Cows. (FWIW, I ended up with a much younger, more dependable model with sleeker lines and a more powerful motor. Win, win !
