In about two weeks the teams will be down to 53 man rosters. That's about 1147 players cut between not and then. We need to take a hard look at OTs cut and WRs cut.

YOu keep saying that, but some of us disagree. If you think they are brining in some off the street FA WR at this point to start you are kidding yourself. Both Washington and Gallup coming back after the first 3 or 4 weeks.

Lamb, Tolbert, Fohenko, Shultz will be just fine the first few weeks.

Lamb ,Tolbert and Brown are your starters you can book it but Foheko is making the roster when i didnt think he would prior to camp. Perhaps they go more 2 TE sets well see. They probably arent going to average over 5 yards a carry like they did agaisnt the Bronco scrubs but it will be a welcome site. I personally feel Washington may be a surprise cut if numbers get crucial.

Where was Brown yesterday?

Unless they are willing to play for free parking and half priced concessions, Little Enos isn’t interested.

where was dak? Where was lamb? where was Zeke? Brown was most likely with them. many starters held out

So does that mean that Brown is a starter? Not sure the message there. Did he play, is he hurt?

This is a question that should have been asked in Cowboy headquarters 5-6 months ago.

As usual for Jerry and Stephen, a day late and a dollar short. It happens to short sighted, uninformed and visionless FO people who don't last very long employed.

Brown will be a starter till gallup returns is my guess.
With Brown and Lamb as our starters that gives Dak two guys that will make tough catches over the middle. Our offense should be alright until Gallup returns. Because Cooper wouldn't make those tough catches over the middle. He didn't want to take the hard hit. Having a no heart number one it's like having no number one at all.

Just my opinion and opinions vary.

Surprising that they have have so far ahead of these other guys that they wouldnt even want to risk playing him.

I wanted to see him out there as one of the starters. If we're going to rely on him in a role that he's never showed he's deserved, then he should at least be able to show he can feast on backups. Of course, the way we threw the ball, I'm not sure he could have showed us much.

I am all for resting the starters type approach.

That one tackle, Sam Tevi, they brought in a month or so ago is still a free agent.
Not saying he's any good but he's played in 58 games and started 44. Still young too. Think he missed all of last year with an injury

I am for proven starters. I don't think Noah Brown has proven himself as a starter.

I was kind of surprised Gallimore played as much as he did because I consider him a proven starter. That a suspect starter at best, like Brown, doesn't play makes me wonder what's going on. I mean, even Steele played a series. Biadasz played for a while.

This is one of the reasons why we keep hearing about an emphasis on the run game. Brown is really good in run block.

Likely open stuff up more when we get Gallup back.

I think at this point it is safe to say that we have a major need. Not only can Ball and the other guy not be depended on, but Steele needs quality competition.
We might have a clearer picture after the cuts to 52 happen.
Maybe someone falls into the Cowboys' lap.
That would be nice.
