What are the chances the referees will call a clean game? After the game, will the Cowboys be victim to an obscure, never before seen rule? Will the other team have any holding calls against our good pass rush? Will the referees give a bizarre too many men in the huddle call? Will they pick up a pass interference call and owe the Cowboys a heinous make up call down the line?

Honestly, if the refs do call a good game, I'll be amazed! That's honestly what I think will stick with me the most, the idea that the refs will botch things royally, the Cowboys will be the victim, and it will take years to admit the mistake.

I've seen this script before, and still I would be furious if it happened again.

One of the biggest worries I have about winning this game is the referees.

What a shame it's come to this.
If you knew this poster's history, you would understand.

The signing of Terrell Owens was a traumatic event in his life and almost initiated a divorce.

Or maybe it did. I don't know, but it was kind of a big deal.

I agree, supposedly these guys champion flag throwers... that's not changing.

I'm thinking a normal turribly officiated game is what will happen...no different from any other turribly officiated game we been seeing.

this is jerry's world, I'm sure they'll watch the flags

Indeed, it's "the refs" who have kept the Cowboys from experiencing postseason success for the last 20+ years. After all, it's in the NFL's interest to intentionally screw its most valuable franchise.

Lining up the excuses early, I see.

Well, 20+ years of postseason failures will cause people to look for scapegoats. "It's come to" that.

I see a weird penalty on us that hasn’t been called in years, if ever, happening. “Untucked shirts unsportsmanlike conduct: Dallas forfeits game.”

The thing I don’t like is having Pereira as a former ref in the Fox feed. I still believe his open tirade on Dez’s catch in Green Bay during the review swayed Blandino’s decision.

Also, to clarify, when I say "What a shame it's come to this", it's more about the influence that referees are having all over the NFL. I'm not "woe-is-me"ing about bad calls against the Cowboys. I just prefer football with less flags. Let them play.

Lawrence and Gregory are held routinely, OTs know it won't be called, I'd be happy if they call one in a 4 of them

we go into this game at home with a young team and momentum, and intensity

SEA is very likely to get squashed tomorrow. From the prospective of the ref's they may feel a need to level the game

For opposing OTs it's like Pats, they ref's can't call holding every snap w/o ruining the game.

go watch tape of the games 7 and 8, the only 2 back to back games lost this year, DL was flat tackled at least 2 times with no flag in both. Both WAS and TEN scored on screen passes with Cowboy DBs blocked in the back by OL at the point of attack (DBs can get hurt like that) - no flags 5 yards in front of the ref. In each game Dak was face masked in the red zone - no flag either time. A penalty on the LS ... :O

IMO, we didn't pay well either game - still rather blatant calls and no calls

If it happens again Cowboy fans will rightly go off on the NFL with lots of tape

we play a pretty clean game - I expect the same from Pete - I can't say the of the NFL refs

I've thought the same thing, once we knew which crew it was especially. I give it about a third each way, whether clean, for us, or against us.

But hear this - if there's some odd call that has never been called on a player before, it will indeed go against us.
