What are the chances the referees will call a clean game?

I've thought the same thing, once we knew which crew it was especially. I give it about a third each way, whether clean, for us, or against us.

But hear this - if there's some odd call that has never been called on a player before, it will indeed go against us.

If you knew this poster's history, you would understand.

The signing of Terrell Owens was a traumatic event in his life and almost initiated a divorce.

Or maybe it did. I don't know, but it was kind of a big deal.

nope, no divorce, I would never do that to my wife, or kids. Of course, you're only trying to get a reaction, but things are fine!

I heard a discussion yesterday on Sirius xm NFL radio along these lines. They were talking about refs typically being more lenient on making calls. Kind of letting them play. We shall see. I hope they call all the holds on our DL.

This crew? Slim and none.

Best we can hope for is that an equal amount of bad calls go against them, as they do us.

What are the chances the referees will call a clean game? After the game, will the Cowboys be victim to an obscure, never before seen rule? Will the other team have any holding calls against our good pass rush? Will the referees give a bizarre too many men in the huddle call? Will they pick up a pass interference call and owe the Cowboys a heinous make up call down the line?

Honestly, if the refs do call a good game, I'll be amazed! That's honestly what I think will stick with me the most, the idea that the refs will botch things royally, the Cowboys will be the victim, and it will take years to admit the mistake.

I've seen this script before, and still I would be furious if it happened again.
The calls are my biggest worries.

If the call from the front office is punish Dallas some more for our past..

we beez in trouble, folks.

They already made up a new penalty to call on us. Or a penalty that hasn't been called in the last 5 years so no one actually knows what they called.

None. Both NCFE teams drew horrible crews. NFCE has too many SB wins and they want to level the field. 25% of all Super Bowls have been won by NFCE teams, 13 out of 52. The next closest conference is the AFCE with 8 wins.

Wouldn't be a Cowboy playoff without some ref controversy.

I wonder what obscure lost rule they will resurect with 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter.

There will be controversy today. There is a pattern of it. Not a fan of these prime time games at all, as it feels like the refs go out of their way to keep the games close.

Pete Carroll will be on the sideline screaming that someone is holding Clark on a big 3rd down play. The refs, who can throw a holding flag on any play, will cave in and throw the flag at the worst possible time. Hope this doesn't happen, but it always seems to in a big game.

If there ever was an I told you so thread, this would be it! I'm sure most of you will return to your posts and end up quoting yourself. In that light...

I predict no offensive holding penalties against Seattle's O-line.

I predict at there will be a "how in the world can they justify that?" holding call on Tyron Smith on a screen to Zeke.

I predict there will be a never before enforced call against the Cowboys of some kind.

I predict that Seattle fans will say the refs favor Dallas, no matter who wins the game.

The refs will determine the outcome of this game with either penalties or clear nin calls that should have been penalties. Lucky for us, the head of the crew is born and raised in TX and Cowboys are better for ratings.

I don’t care if I get flamed for this, I’d rather lose a clean called game then win due to a bad call(s). Even though we beat NO, that game was probably the worst game I’ve ever seen in my life, it was literally almost unwatchable and a shame to see the flow and potential outcome of the game decided by the same clowns that are officiating tonight. It’s almost as if there is no accountability whatsoever with these chumps.
