Coaching is not the problem here, talent is. Look at what Daniel Jones is doing in year 4. On the road throwing for 300 and running for another 80. His running game wasn't great today and still got it done. We ask a certain QB to do the same and he flops.
Also the Giants WR are above average at best but when you throw the ball where it needs to be they make play.
The Giants immediately signed Jason Garrett to be the OC when Dallas did not retain him. I think the plan was to promote him to head coach if Joe Judge faltered. He "coached" that offense to 2nd to last in the NFL...then to dead last the following year. They bring in someone that actually earned the right to coach and run the offense. And Daniel Jones looks like a different guy. The Giants win their first playoff game in 11 years. And the franchise just might have turned the corner.
Meanwhile Jason Garrett goes to the USFL booth, then to the NBC booth. Think about that...he went from coaching Dallas for 10 straight years....to doing absolutely NOTHING for the Giants as their OC for 2 straight years...to out of coaching all together!
Do you think the Giants think coaching does not matter? Do you think the Giants are happy Daboll is running their offense as opposed to Garrett? Do you see what Daboll did for Josh Allen in Buffalo before coming to the Giants?
The Giants took the LAZY route when they hired Garrett after Dallas let him go. They did not give him 10 years to prove his worth like another franchise I know...they got him out of there and hired Daboll and have not looked back. Coaching matters,
