I dont' think any one position or coach is more important than this team (Romo specifically) learning that you MUST TAKE CARE OF THE BALL.

It is friggin VITAL that we keep the turnovers to a minimum. Look at the turnaround of hte dolphins this year. The Dolphins had 10 turnovers all year, and they won 10-11 games.

With the talent on this team, if we could keep the turnovers to 10 in a season, I don't believe we'd lose more than one game.

.......he needs competition, or at least the threat of it.....it would bring in Parcels Rules for QB' into play for Romo...and "he wouldnt leave the reservation " as often as BP would say....

Maybe I am the only one but I sure would appreciate it if people would stop derailing threads with this asinine crap all the time. Every thread is turned or attempted to be turned into a Jones/Wade/TO bashfest.

I think people get it and quite frankly it wasn't witty the first 100 times.

This was a serious attempt to talk about the roster and you guys turned it into a pile of garbage.

Glaring needs, in order...

1) Starting #1 WR (T.O. is gone; Can Roy Wi11iams win the #1 spot; who pushes him?)
2) Starting #3 WR (Crayton is gone or demoted; Sam Hurd and Issaik Stanback are limited and injury prone)
3) Starting ILB (Who replaces Zack Thomas?)
4) Starting SS (Who replaces Roy Williams; it's not Hamlin?)
5) Backup QB (We have the #1 and #3 guy, but need a vetran #2)
6) Backup LG/RG (Young guys not developing enough to supplant the sub-par Proctor)
7) Backup DT ('Tank' is a 'Yugo'; as in "PLEASE 'Yugo' BUH-BYE!")
8) Backup NT (To rotate with Ratliff, and allow Ratliff to play some DE)
9) Backup C (Loss of Kossier begs the question 'Do you really want Procter at C shold Gurode ever go down?)
10) Kicker (to be a kickoff specialist and backup K/P)

I think it was Hos that mentioned that Folk would boom kickoffs in college and that maybe him being asked to directionally kick and not just kick away was the problem.

I would like to see a young OG/C prospect brought in. As it stands now, I see Holland starting and Kosier is a VERY good backup linemen. He can play 3 or 4 positions on the line.

NT is a definite need and thats where I would like to see a vet brought in. I am kind of unsure about what to do at ILB. I am one of the few people that Carp could get it done but I am also not so naive to think that its a sure thing. OTOH, I a vet is brought in Wade will just hand him the starting job. Thats what he does. I think I'd like to see our second spent here. ILB quality can be found there.

Agree...

1. ILB is #1. If Zach is gone, and if Burnett leaves in FA as I think he will, we need not just a starter, but a top backup immediately. And please, don't anyone mention Barbie.

2. Strong safety. Maybe not if Roy is back. But if he isn't we need a starter.

3. Backup/developmental WR. I've long wanted a super-quick speed guy. Everyone we've picked up for a long time now is a tall, long strider. Get us a smaller, quicker guy like Eddie Royal or Donnie Avery.

4. DL. I think Canty is gone. If the coaches think Hatcher can do it, then maybe this isn't so high.

5. Backup interior OL. We all know about Corey Procter. I'd like to get a competent C who could push Gurode a little.

6. Backup T. This is a lot higher if the coaches think Free and McQ can't play.

7. A really good fullback. We need to run the ball much more next year and Cricket is just okay.

1) Tackle if Free isn't the answer to succeed Adams
2) Guard if the Cowboys feel okay about their tackles
3) Another pass rushing LB to push Spencer
4) Wide body nose tackle to supplement Ratliff
5) DE depth depending upon Canty
6) Safety
7) Quarterback prospect.

OT-we are screwed if our starters get hurt,i mean season gone down the drain screwed.i dont know about any free agents but we should keep a lookout.

safety-great defenses need a really good safety and hamlin dissapeared the whole season

ILB-zack is gone imo.

backup QB-i will be fine with JP losman.

OLB-we need quality backup to ware.

NT-i know most us want a true NT but the coaches might not think so.i like ron brace though.

DE-if canty is gone.

WR-a desean jackson clone would do wonders for our offense.some of romo's long sideline throws might actually work.

CB-a good free agent pickup would do well here.
