why did we trade our 2nd rd pick?

because jones has no idea what the hel9l hes doing, the man keeps getting more senile by the day, we came away so far with no wr no cb and the 57th de on the roster, today has been terrible. has he ever heard of trading up, why cant we trade up to get a good player just once, leon hall or aaron ross would look very good right now.

It is just such a let down to wait for a draft pick only to be told, oh you made a trade and picked up some possible scrubs later on.

As opposed to a scrub now?

At least we arent the SeaHags just makin their first pick of the draft late in the 2nd round.. a good 7.5 hrs into the draft

Some of the O-Lineman I think they like were not 2nd round value.

Names to remember

Andy Alleman OG Akron
Allen Barbe - OG Miss Southern State
James Marten - T BC
Josh Beekman - G BC
Ryan Kalil - C Cal
Samson Satele C - Hawaii

First 3 rounds are always on day one. Do some of you not watch the NFL?

Leon Hall and Aaron Ross will be busts in the NFL. Mark that down.

We couldn't take a character risk with Wright he's probably the most talented CB left. Any other CB is about the same right now. Also it looks like we are looking for another WR. When Smith was gone the value there dropped. You can't take a WR that's valued as a 3rd rounder in the middle of the 2nd round.

We'll see who the players are but this is starting out as a very smart draft by Jerry.

Drama queen

Next round is only 5 minutes, as is the rest of the draft, so it will go quick.

I dunno, we wanted a third rounder hahah

we got

Rd 3
Rd 4
Rd 6

Browns got

Rd 2
Rd 6

so we move back 20 something spots to early third, gain a 4th and move up 15 or so spots in the 6th round

think it was 14 spots dude

Really we need to keep some of these early picks who cares if we get 10 late round choices. Lets not trade just for sake of trading jeez.

Best value there was Kalil, you want a backup with your 2nd?

Goose said there were only about 18-20 guys in the draft with 2nd round grades. After that people were going to have to start reaching for 3rd round caliber players.

I guess reaching for guys that they could have 10-12 picks later would have made people happier.

Yep, all thes guys are pretty much backups on our roster. Might as well get another 4th. I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry moves up for another third like we did last year if someong is sitting there.

It really burns me when these guys that know nothing about the draft are irate when it dosn't go how the think it should. Instant gratification is king.

The way it's starting to look I wouldn't be upset if we traded that 3rd for 2 early 4th's and change, or a 4th this year and a 3rd next year or a 2nd next year.

I doubt that. Eventually we'll make a good value pick. In that 2nd round spot there wasn't a good value pick out of the bunch. There are a lot of guys with 2nd round value that are falling to the 3rd round. We can get a guy like Josh Beekman that would probably be a good choice at 53, but we get him in the 3rd round.

yeah let's just keep picking up extra practice scrubs.
It's all about value and if you don't get it that is to bad.
