What are you looking for in a backup QB?

Need something like when Jerry took over, and Jimmy came in, and we knew Troy Aikman was going to be selected as the new QB.

That is what I want. However, we will not get a new owner, and they will not select a QB in round 1.
Prepared to be disappointed again.

As it stands now we have 1 QB under contract on this team, I think we're overlooking the fact that our current starting QB is coming off an injured season, and he may not be the same going forward in terms of availability. With that said, I see fans on here saying that we need to fix the trenches, and all other aspects of this team, but having a QB that can step in and give us some wins NOT NAMED RUSH/Lance is going to be helpful to this team!


I'm not sure Rush would want to come back anyways seeing how they did him the last game, please give your thoughts

Someone that is young, athletic and is adaptive to the current NFL playstyle. I’m sorry but if Dak goes down for an extended period of time starting some bridge QB to just come in under .500 does not interest me at all at this point

The Cowboys already have a backup QB. He's a 4th round project QB that lacks accuracy and timing and doesn't have a big arm to make all the throws. His name is Dak.. they need to draft a starting QB.

Highest paid player in the league. Likable guy who is a locker room leader. Someone who is only getting better by working on things. Also has to be in the best shape of his life this off season
