If we do eventually draft a WR this year, what are you hoping this WR(s) will be like ?

The bigger Michael Gallup or Cedrick Wilson type ?

Or do you prefer the smaller quicker types... ala Tyler Lockett, Cooper Kupp, Brandon Cooks,...Jaylen Waddle

i am looking for something different from Lamb and Gallup.

Drake London - Tall 50/50 ball type. End zone threat.
Burks - Bigger tackle breaker.
Sky Moore - smaller quicker
Olave - route runner

etc.

i like Pickens for example but i don't think he compliments our current group.

I am looking at Boise State to replace our former one. Skahir is a mainly a slot receiver that offers return abilities, better prospect then Wilson coming out.

If i know Wil McClay's preference, i get the feeling that we'll get WRs that are bigger size guys - even in the slot.
. i can only remember having two significant smaller smurf like slot guys ala Cole Beasley and Tavon Austin.

One with a voracious competitive spirit and is vastly versatile. One that doesn't disappear but plays big in big games.

I agree. They did bring in Olave who is very similar to a Terry Glenn, but the other two are huge. Reportedly love Burks from Arkansas, 6'3 225, huge hands and play really reminds me of Dez Bryant. The USC WR London is 6'5 and played mainly in the slot, built more like those old schooled X receivers.

Although these 3 are interesting, many would agree we are fine and just need another #3 receiver. They just worked out the Cincy receiver Pierce who is more like a Gallup, but has some stiffness in his breaks.

In a perfect world we’d find two:
  • A Deboo/T.Hill type that’s compact, great YAC and can run a jet sweep.
  • A Cooper Kupp type that is a big slot and RedZone threat
What I don’t want is is a vanilla 6’0 deep threat that runs a 4.5 forty.

I think your first bullet point is 2 different style players. I’d go after Khalil Shakir I’m the midrounds. Dude is money in the slot and has experience taking direct snaps and running her sweeps.

Let Lamb be your big slot and playmaker in the redzone.

I just mean a wide receiver that can effectively do things behind the LOS. They are different but we haven’t really had that guy to send on motion since Lucky Whitehead and he was kinda trash. I felt like it at least through the defense off balance a bit. I’d just like someone with a bit more to his game. Curtis Samuel and Corderelle Patterson would be other guys though Patterson is also a bit limited.

I’m happy for Ceedee in slot for the RedZone but then I want a Dez type on the outside. I feel like we’d match down the field with Lamb/Cooper/Gallup but once the field compressed we weren’t able to win as effectively.

treylon burks.
a freight train with the ball in his hands.

others i'd be happy with:
jalen tolbert,s alabama
david bell,purdue
romeo doubs,nevada
e.e.,texas tech

I hear ya. Then add in Woods / Kolar to the TE room and you’ve got 2 6’6+ monsters for the redzone.

The All-Pro type.

Wes Welker type for me. Need that quick slot chain mover type of guy. He and Schultz could tear it up in the middle together. Don’t forget Beas was Dak’s fav before he left.

Looking for a quickness guy with great hands for the #3 WR position.

Speedy, Size, and route running ability are great things if they have it, but for what I think Dallas needs --- Quickness and hands leads the traits needed.
