What can be done to fix the team?

Get rid of the Cover Read scheme.

Move back to a 4-3 / 4-2

Put Derrick in charge of the defense/play calling.

Put CP Kid Wonder up in the sky box with a notebook.

Run the football.

10-7 is possible.

In all seriousness, I don't know you can fix this team without a complete front office replacement.

They've replaced coaches, coordinators, players and training staff many times over the years.

Jerry needs to retire or sell the team. Stephen needs to shift into owner mode and hire a real intelligent and no-nonsense GM.

They need to fire all of the scouts and draft/personnel staff and start over with a new mindset and philosophy.

They need to stop trying to remake the 1990s teams and they need to stop chasing the latest Super Bowl winning team trends.

After 30 years, it's time for an organizational reset, not just a coaching or player reset.
I couldn't agree more. I said exactly the same things a few days ago. That hasn't changed and likely won't change until sweeping changes are made to finally bring the Cowboys team back to one that is willing and able to compete with pride. The fans of this team deserve far better consideration for their patronage. We're hanging on like desperate people with our fingers on the edge of a cliff.

An organizational reset is certainly the answer to what must be done to see this team returning to it's long-lost respect. Please and Thank You for any serious consideration of radical changes yet to come.

Let's hope Jerry and Stephen come to their senses before it's much too late to change at all. Let's wake up and be willing to accept what surely needs to happen. Time is of the essence for a team's survival.

The coaching is obviously the biggest issue. The Cowboys have enough talent on defense to play better than they have. You can tell the defensive players have no confidence. They don’t know what they’re suppose to do. Parkers Master class has failed miserable.

On offense and on paper, the team has more than enough talent to be a top 3 offense yet last night they were totally inept. Dak was getting blitzed on almost every play and the OC had NOTHING prepared to face a Tod Bowles defense.

Jerry’s build the best, plushiest training facility at the Star. Everything and anything the players could want. He coddles the stars and lets it be known the buck stops here. Well Jerry, since the buck stops with you and you’re THE problem what are you going to do?

For the fans, what would you do to fix the team at this point in the season? Is there anything? The Cowboys have become the laughing stock of the NFL so something needs to change. Defense gave up the most yards they have all season to an undrafted QB making only his 2nd start on a 0-4 team. As the stadium worker said and so accurately, “Embarrassing.” Dak knows it and is why he got upset because he’s frustrated there’s nothing he can do. Every player should be pissed.

I’m not one to give up and I’m not, but something needs to change or they’ll continue to be the laughing stock of the NFL.

Go Cowboys!
Nothing this season. After the season get rid of Parker ASAP and bring in a real Def Co who can actually find his behind with both hands. Parker has been a complete joke. Biggest dissapointment we have had in years. He is way out of his league and in way out over his head. A boy among men.

Sure seems that way.

Complete rebuild. Trade as many players as possible. Keep young players with potential but not skill players with big contracts. Hire a new coaching staff at end of the season. Trade and get what you can for Dak. Eat his contract penalties and find his replacement. Explosion time is here but Jerry will not do it and even if he did he would intercede and poison it.

We need a coach thats a killer.

Jerry has spent a fortune on players over the years. We've had a ton of talent pass through only to amount to nothing. We've had strong rosters, good drafts, and good trades. Even home field advantage once or twice (I can't remember exactly). The one denominator has been a coaching carousel and Jerry wanting to do it his way. Weak coaches that don't instill discipline and are under the thumb of the Jones family, which means average coaches at best. Strong coaches have their own way, Jerry wants it his way. Let him eat it, it's his cake.

Unless Jerry steps back, hires a killer, and hands over reigns expect more of the same.
