Which do you think we'll see first?

A) Dallas has a 1000 yard rusher

B) Dallas develops a solid (doesn't have to be Pro Bowl) safety

Both seem like trivial accomplishments in today's NFL, but elusive in Dallas.

If Murray's injury truly isn't serious, he shouldn't have much difficulty hitting 1k. He's nearly halfway there.

16 carries a game get you 250 on the year times 4 YPC gets you 1000 yards so I'll go with A.

Define solid? I think you could say that Church is solid, though he has deficiencies, and I haven't noticed Wilcox getting beat all over the field, though he's not really making any big plays.

The Cowboys have to want to run the ball for a full game more than every 2nd or 3rd game in order to get a 1,000 yard rusher.

The safety situation is the idea of just getting the right player. The running back situation is committing to the run instead of going long stretches of abandoning the run. Hard to commit to the run if you are committed to a pass first and often offense.

So I would go with the safety option of the OP's question.
