What could the Cowboys do this year with two first rounders?

I'd draft Haloti Ngate and either Carpenter or Lawson.

If Manny Lawson drops to us, I would take him. If not, I would take Carpenter.

As for the second pick, I was stuck between getting Chad Jackson, or just trading down and picking up an extra pick. I chose to trade down, probably to early-mid second round, to pick up a good OG or whatever.

We could trade back and get a couple of seconds for each first rounder. That would give us 5 second round picks (including our own). Then we could package those up and get 10 third rounders. With continued effort, saavy trading and a little luck, we should be able to lock up the entire 7th round. That would allow us to have 32 picks in a row on cheap talent that could really round out a roster.

We'd be bound to find a steal or two. :p:
oddly enough that makes perfect sense

hell we can do like the spurs do with foriegn players and just let them devlop..

keep all the draft picks playing in nfl europe, and other palces and only bring them in when they get good

We should've had Richard Seymore by now.. if we didn't trade those picks...

In theory we could end up with 2 late first rounders if we gave up our first and second.

900 (18) + 410 (49) = 1310 points.

That's worth roughly the same as the 28th and 29th picks in the draft.

I recall piddling around with the "trade down with Indy scenario" and noted that Indy's second plus our second was worth a late first as well, I think about 26-27 or so.

So yes, if the market is fluid, it -could- be done.

David.

What picks in the 1st #1 and 18 or 31 and 32? If I had 2 picks I would take Huff and Bush, or Lienart and Bradshaw, or Hawk and Williams

What picks duh

Alright here's the plan. Trade all this year's picks and Greg Ellis to Houston, for their first round pick, next year. Now take those two picks and whatever else it takes (08's first round pick?) and trade up to #1 overall and select....Brady Quinn!
