2002 v. Texans, or 1994 v. San Fran. I think I would still put the 2002 loss as worse because San Fran was a great team.

In 2002 we just had a full load of "HardKnocks" with Jerry telling the world that this team was awesome. I even believed him. Too bad he forgot he needed an O-line, a QB not high on weed, a Defense, and a decent coach.

The Vikings....all the losses before don't matter, unless you consider it for Home Field. But that is hindsight losses.

Strictly from game by game, it was the 1st Giants game, then the Broncos.

San Francisco in the 1994 NFC Championship..and losing to the Texans in their first game ever, I took off from work that day.

Another one....'85 loss to the Rams in the playoffs. If you've ever seen an Eric Dickerson highlight package, it's surely to include 2-3 runs from this game alone. To this day, I dont think one player has dominated the Cowboys in one game as Dickerson did this day on his way to 250 yards rushing. Our offense couldn't do anything. We got completely dominated.

The first loss to the Giants

second ?

The second loss to the Giants

Both games should have been victories for the Cowboys but in both cases, the Cowboys had brainfarts...

All time ?

Two: '94 NFC Championship game, Thanksgiven " Leon Lett " bowl against the Dullphins..

Thank goodness we won the SB that year or else I would have gone postal on the dullfans down here..

Texans loss in 2002 is not even on my radar as an all-time bad loss. A 5-11 team lost to a 4-12 team. Big deal. That is no crushing heartbreaker. Also, it was the first game of the season. That loss dropped the team to a devastating 0-1 record.

This year = Vikings playoff loss.

All Time = Giant playoff loss, just because they are the team I hate more than anyother team in professional sports and to lose to them in the playoffs,
JUST SUCKED BIG TIME!:giants:

Watching from '85-today. The worst for me was the Philly game season before last. I've never seen such a pathetic performance from the team in such an important game. Only game I've ever turned off the TV in disgust. After that, probably the Seattle playoff loss.

Surprised many are listing the 94 championship game. I was shocked to go down 3 TDs so early, but we outplayed them the rest of the game. Winning the SB the previous year probably helped ease the pain.

Big Country;3275207#3 - 1994 NFC Championship game. [B said:
Deion had blatant pass interference against Michael Irvin and it was not called.[/B] I don't know if I've ever hollered that loud at an inanimate object before. Ken Norton Jr. will forever be traitor scum in my book too.
Of all the plays that went against us in the 94 NFC Championship, that's the play most folks remember. The one that sticks in my craw though is the TD to Irvin that was ruled out of bounds. I'm convinced that had replay been in use in 94, it would have been a TD. On top of that, we also missed the chip shot FG so we end up with no points and momentum that was slowly turning our way was suddenly back in the 49ers hands.

And for the record, the Cowboys were the better team. I don't care what anyone says.

Oh, and **** Bradshaw. I hate his guts.

Yeah, that game was hard to take.

THIS!

It's actually not my #1 loss, but I'm in complete agreement with you. We really were the better team. And the loss by far had/has the most historical significance.
We win that one game and we're the team of the 70's.

But for me the worst loss is the 1981 NFCC in SF. That game still haunts me.

94 Championship.

I remember the night after the game I dreamed that Dallas came back to win...waking up was very painful.

Hardest loss to take this year = Home against the Chargers.

This is because the loss all but eliminated us from any hope of a bye week, it was the second straight loss to start December and all the "here we go again" talk, and the heart and soul of our Defense (Ware) was carted off the field and nobody knew if he would ever play another down again.

Hardest loss of all time = 06 game against the Seahawks. I literally punched three holes into a sheet rock wall in my den and threw my $150 dollar univeral remote across the room into a brick wall, shattering it into a million pieces. To replace the remote and have a carpenter fix the walls, it cost me about $600 dollars.
