Any particular players that you're keeping an eye on, hoping the Cowboys scoop them up if/when they get cut?

I'm more watching position groups for certain teams, where they're overloaded with talent and might have to release quality depth.

I'm keeping an eye on:
Seattle's RBs
San Francisco's RBs
Rams DL
Seattle's DBs
Arizona's DBs (Ross Weaver, good size, 4.41 40)
Carolina LBs
Jets DL
Bills DL

What you got?

Seattle and SF have some interesting RBs but I don't get the feeling that the Cowboys plan to cut any of their top 3. Maybe they would consider carrying 4 RBs, but it seems doubtful. The players will have to pass through waivers and the Cowboys are 26th in line.

I want to see Vaughn get cut so we can develop showers. Honestly, I hope they give Showers the 2nd team reps this week so we can see exactly what he can do.

Agreed. Maybe Vaughan develops into a solid backup later on but he has regressed since last year. And this is an impatient league. Need to give Showers much more time these last 2 games.

If I never saw Weeden take another snap in a Dallas uniform, I'd be happy as well. He's worthless.

YOU said it and said it well, Showers needs to stay! He is a jack of all trades and led the team to their only TD in the last game. Showers is not a finished product but has shown enough and does enough to be on the 53 and be a backup QB, at least the 3rd string QB. This guy can play special teams, be 3rd string QB, 3rd down and 1 QB, and line up as RB in a possible pass play-half back option.

I think the Bills QB situation bears watching. They have 3 guys better than our backup

It is time to give someone like Showers a shot at being the answer as long term backup QB.

I'm not as concerned as most are with our roster. However, I would be keeping my eyes on any cuts for backup offensive tackles. Unless this team is ready to play Collins at RT, Doug Free's health concerns me as much as his ability thus far in camp, mostly because Weems has not looked ready to even step in as a backup in a pinch.

Parnell was much better as a swing tackle but I can't blame him for taking the money and an opportunity to start.

I would also be keeping an eye out for bottom-roster WRs around the league, although I imagine Green Bay will be calling dibs.
