What did All-Pro line win is before.answer: nothing!

Won 3 super bowls in the 90's with a ALL PRO line.
It wasn't just the all-pro OL. They had a complete team back then. Jerry has been chasing that 90s offense for 30 years and it has not gotten them anywhere. He needs to get started on that defense. Only he can't because he allowed it to fall apart.

I’m convinced this team could have 15 first round picks and people would still cry
Guard has a low positional value, he was ranked around 30th on most boards, so of course people are going to complain.

You can argue that KC got just as good of a linemen at 31.

I think he will be a good player, but it just doesn't move the needle when I look at the other holes on this team.

Reference any source that states what you just did. Any but local cry babies.

We had a great OL in 2014 and 2016 with 3 All-Pros in their primes + an All-Pro RB and they couldn't do anything to stop Aaron Rodgers in the playoffs. Meanwhile we were relying on random journeymen on defense

It's hard to build a complete team on both sides of the ball when you constantly use so many resources on the OL. As many good teams in the NFL have proven, the OL is a position group that does not require multiple 1st round talent.

But this is what Jerry and Stephen do and we better get used to it because they will do it again next season if Guyton isn't the guy. Go ahead and pencil LT or RT as a 1st round pick in 2026 too.

We had an ALL PRO line before with two future hall of famers and didn’t win squat…

De ja vu

Hate the pick
You can make the same argument about every position. Romo and Dak both saw pro bowls and we won nothing. Does that mean QB's are overrrated? We spent the 4th overall pick in the draft on Zeke, did he bring us glory? Micah is an all-pro, are we winning?

There is no one guy or one position that is going to take this team over the top. Its a TEAM. We need more quality starters and positional depth. We need our best players healthy. The coaches have to do their job. A lot has to come to together for us to compete in the playoffs for a super bowl. Its an organizational problem.

I like the alabama kid and I think he could be a great player at his position. BUT, I don't like picking him at 12. I don't like picking any G that high. Historically, its unnecessary. We do a very poor job moving around the draft and maximizing our draft value. If the FO deemed Guard as the top priority, then you shop that pick and move back. The problem is that Jerry and son just sit there and field offers. They are not being proactive and making the phone calls and selling teams on deals. There were 3 Gaurds taken in round one and there wasn't a hair's difference between them.

I’m still so confused here

The cowboys haven’t done squat in the playoffs in 30 years regardless of pro bowls and all pros

So really by this logic we shouldn’t be drafting anyone and just let the timer run out

The best OL in football won the SB last season while Mahomes was continually running for his life .
Because the Philly dline dominated that KC o line.
What was Saquon''s final numbers?

25 carries for what?
57 yards.
More like Hurts and the Philly d line.
Not so much Philly oline.

yeah that what surprised me, was staying at 12 for a guard !
It seemed odd.
To move back or up in draft, they need to hustle to get a good deal, and that is too much
work for jones boys. They are too slow on deciding as well.

My take was they didnt call any team, they just talked to teams that called them.

This was a shotty pick, he wanted this particular guy.
Now lets see if he gets a RB to put behind the new tyler!

I will wait and judge the whole draft together, and again mid season.
How many draft picks make some kind of impact in year one.

So how many Super Bowls did sub-par and crappy offensive line play win in NFL history?

My initial reaction to the Booker pick was the same one I had to Tyler Smith a few years ago. Initially said "WHAT" and then started to like it more and more.

Listen, I like Brock Hoffman, but let's not hype him up to be more than he is. If we think a former UDFA that was cut by the Browns is a worthy successor to Zack Martin based on the fact he was "okay" in seven starts; that is just fooling ourselves.

Booker is a plug in and play starter that will match up against all the elite DT's in the NFC East. The Cowboys are actually doing this right. Games are won or lost in the trenches and Dallas just got stronger and more physical up front.

I mean it just won the Eagles a Super Bowl and helped the Chiefs win 2 straight and make 3 straight.

LOL, this logic is so bizarre.

Where would they have been without that OL? Hint. Worse.

Those teams should have accomplished more, we just had subpar coaching and needed to invest more in the other side of the trenches. If we weren't going to do it in the draft they should have in free agency.
