Or Kapernick
Speaking of him I'm hoping Kelly doesn't wise up and start him on Sunday. Could be a long day if so!
Or Kapernick
I don't think he will but if he does, I think it might help us. Sometimes he airmail his throws.Speaking of him I'm hoping Kelly doesn't wise up and start him on Sunday. Could be a long day if so!
Yeah, his arm is good enough.Winicki, I would like for you to explain how it was that Dak threw a 60-65 yard pass in the air to Butler in the pre-season game and he doesn't have the strongest arm. Which is a clever way of phrasing that.
Or that he threw an out route in a pre-season game and the announcers were ohhhing and ahhhing about his arm strength.
I'll be around.

http://cowboyszone.com/threads/ree-dik-u-liss.354660/Did not realize it was that quick. What was Romo's again, as I remember him having the quickest above Marino? Pretty impressive when they timed it last night.
Romo's was around .26, Marino was .3, while Dak is .37. It doesn't sound like much, but over a tenth of a second is a big deal when you are talking about the ball getting from the QB to the receiver.
It's not only about release time, but also the motion. Romo has a super quick release, but more of a 3/4 motion. Dak's is an overhand motion. So was Marino's which makes his release time so ridiculous. With the overhand motion you can deliver the ball to receivers better on more types of routes. What I saw out of Dak in college was potential, but some issues with his release and more issues with his footwork and that's why he couldn't deliver the ball consistently. But he really has cleared those up in short order, especially for a QB that did not play under center in college.

I think his arm is stronger than Romo's, even when Romo was healthy. The lad doesn't have the strongest arm out there... but he's got a very quick release.

I don't think this is accurate. Collinsworth said the fasted they had ever seen was around .30.
