For his first game action since college I thought he was really good. Did not have any notable losses and looked fluid and strong all night. Granted it was against backups but I think he showed infinitely more than Ball.

Don’t think he’s quite ready to start but we may have a future starter there. If not, at least a viable swing T. Let’s hope he can do that sooner rather than later!

What did y’all think?

Looked good to me. But remember he only played late when he probably wasn’t playing against anyone who plays in the nfl this year. Plus he has missed most of camp. He is a long ways away but he is probably a better prospect than Ball at first glance.
Ball started off bad let’s hope he gets better. He could easily find himself starting.

Ball has problems on the left, he played better on the right. Avion Collins isn't bad either, is a 3 year vet.

I do think he is more equipped for the right side.

But his poor run blocking would be magnified on that side.

he had the problem with that shoulder even in college.I for one wont make him our starting LT with a bum shoulder.
This is true.

I am hoping they are treating it correctly now and he is responding to it.

It is a condition that can be fixed by strengthening the muscles around the shoulder.

i thought he played well.
both him and ball are worth working on.
they have the talent...just not the experience.
it'll come with time.

I'm actually encouraged that Ball can become at least a swing tackle. He's got some things to work on, but he didn't look like he doesn't belong in the league, like some think.

Have to go back and watch Waletzko since I didn't pay close attention to him.

Would like to rewatch the game as my eyes got fixated on #60 and his night.

Pretty much my feelings too. THere were some ups and downs for both, but you can see that the cupboard isn't bare. Just needs some time. Which we don't have right now. Get a vet to bridge the gap!
