I got a craftsman 19.2 volt blower for my driveway, a maple cased indoor basketball hoop with electronic timekeeping, some Cowboy and UCF shirts and a few new Blu-Rays.

My kids got Donkey Kong Country and Lego Harry Potter, so I have been getting more usage out of their gifts than mine.

new springsteen darkness on the edge of town boxed set.

I asked my wife to buy me 1 of 2 things. Back to the future box set or the darkness boxed set.

Glad it was bruce, I just want to watch the movies with the commentary and the deleted stuff so its kind of a waste!

My wife got me a Kindle. I wasn't too thrilled with it at first. I'm kind of an old school dig through a dusty book store kind of guy. I've had it for 5 days and already blazed through James Rollins Sandstorm. It's much easier on the eyes than peeping through the reading glasses. It's growing on me.

My Ipod classic crapped out on me a week before Christmas too, so I got a Ipod Nano. I'm still trying to get use to the size and touch screen stuff, but it seems like it's going to be pretty cool.

I was apprehensive about using a Kindle too, but once I got mine; I couldn't be happier. It's thinner than most books and when I'm getting close to finishing a book, I don't have to carry two. Also, no more trips to the bookstore or waiting on them to come in the mail. Just buy what you want when you're ready to read it.

The only down side I've seen is not all books are on the Kindle yet. (mostly books published pre-Kindle)

You should have gone with Back2DFuture. You could have caught glimpses of what might have been if Eric Stoltz had cut the mustard!

Yeah I am going to get it one of these days. I want to watch the original with the commentary on. this is one of my favorite past times, drives my wife insane but I love it.

the karate kid commentary is funny and I loved the star wars commentary!

Harmony One Remote with RF extender, a Cowboys scarf, a Rock Paper Scissors Spock Lizzard t-shirt (Big Bang Theory Reference), a very nice purple Pea Coat, Professor Layton and some other DS games, Toy Story 3, Despicable Me, Polk Audio Monitor, a Lenovo S10-3t, a tote bag, some boots, Subway gift card, and Longhorn gift cards.

P.S. Some of these were self-purchased because I was being self-indulgent :)

My wife and kids got me a couple of the McFarlanes, Romo and Felix. Got the SI 50th Anniversary book. And got a Cowboys Rug for the theater room.

Everyone else gave me receipts.

Each year I tell the rest of my family not to give me anything. I pick a charity and ask them to give me the receipts to the charity. So I get these envelopes that have a card in it and a receipt in it.

This year I picked the Nashville Rescue Mission.

That's pretty cool. I know Borders had a promotion where if you bought anything in the store on Dec 4th and 5th (even their cafe), you got a $15 gift card to DonorsChoose.org I got a ton of my family and friends to participate.

I know you are here in Nashville and know what kind of work the Mission does. They have been out in full force these last few weeks getting people in out of the freezing weather. They do a great job here.
