I didn't think Wilcox would chew him out. That seems uncharacteristic and stupid, if you ask me, to do when you have a player you're still relying on out on the field. You encourage him to make up for it, not berate him for a stupid play.

True Lawrence said over and over they guys on the team had his back and encouraged him. Berating a teammate can do more harm than good.

I didn't know this but on Talkin Cowboys at the 45 minute mark Broaddus said that Marinelli has devoted a lot of practice time all year teaching guys to try and advance fumbles. Scoop and score is what it's called.

In that game situation I imagine the vets would ignore all of that and just fall on it but with him being a rookie I can now understand why he reacted that way.
