What do Cowboys do if Keith Rivers fall down to them?

Rivers is a good linebacker and will be an amazing OLB in the 4-3. But his talents as an ILB don't fit our 34. He'll have the same problem as Johnathan Vilma has in the 34 with the Jets. Don't know if he can play OLB in the 34 but we do have a guy named Ware on WLB & Ellis/Spencer on the other side. Sorry just don't see us drafting him.

Nice opportunity to trade down slightly. It would not be a disaster to take the guy either....he can play. I can't see this happening though.

We're in a position to take the best player on the board.

I would not be shocked if Dallas selects Kenny Phillips if he slides to 22.

I'm not sure #22 is "sliding" for Phillips.....maybe not even #28.

Kenny Phillips at 22? He'll be there and may even slide right out of the 1st round. If we took him at 22, I'd be PI$$ED!

I would hesitate just long enough to see if someone wanted to trade, but then I would jump on that pick.

He is versatile enough to play in the 3-4. He might do a little better in a 4-3, but the guy is a hard worker and would adapt well to playing inside in the 3-4.

Congratulate whoever drafts him behind us.

Exactly. Unless we trade down a couple spots, knowing we'll get who were looking at anyway, so someone can move up and get him we'd simply let him go by. He is not at all a need.

Not that it matters cause there is really no chance that Rivers falls anywhere near that far.
