Tiki Barber is the most smug, manicured RB to ever play. He was a very very good player. HOF? Not so much.

Tiki is class and was a very good RB close to being elite IMO. I'll miss him sorta but definitely not the way he killed us at times. I think he should have played another couple of years to make a run at the hall.

1997 New York Giants 12 6 136 511 3.8 42 3 2 31
1998 New York Giants 16 4 52 166 3.2 23 0 1 8
1999 New York Giants 16 1 62 258 4.2 30 0 1 12
2000 New York Giants 16 12 213 1006 4.7 78 8 9 38
2001 New York Giants 14 9 166 865 5.2 36 4 8 40
2002 New York Giants 16 15 304 1387 4.6 70 11 12 67
2003 New York Giants 16 16 278 1216 4.4 27 2 4 66
2004 New York Giants 16 14 322 1518 4.7 72 13 11 77
2005 New York Giants 16 16 357 1860 5.2 95 9 16 72
2006 New York Giants 16 16 327 1662 5.1 55 5 11 78
TOTAL 154 109 2217 10449 4.7 95 55 75 489

I think two more years at the level he'd played would do it for sure. He may make it anyway.

Chiefs upgraded their line? They drafted Walker in the 6th round and signed Mcintosh. Not much of an improvement.

We signed McIntosh, which is a HUGE upgrade at left tackle for us. Last year Jordan Black gave up a whopping 13 sacks.

At right tackle, Chris Terry, a veteran starter who played on some very good lines in Seattle will step in. He was signed midseason last year and worked his way back into the game.

The interior line is still solid with Brian Waters, Casey Wiegmann and John Welbourn, who started a ton of games in Philadelphia at guard. The main is that we replaced our bottom-barrell offensive tackles from a year ago.

I personally do not like Tiki Barber, mostly for his fake personality. He's this "class guy" but complains and takes a shot at his team and coaches the second he's gone. I'm glad I don't have to see his face twice a year and hear the announcers talk him up every chance they get (Buck and Aikman especially).

That being said, I think the person who most helped Barber play like he did the last three years is Tom Coughlin and his staff. They're the ones that changed the way he held the ball, which eliminated his fumbling problem. After that he took off.

However during that time, he did seem to have a bigger burst and would hold that speed consistently. He stopped wearing down during games and was much much faster and more powerful. So maybe that has something to do with this Carini of yours.

Hi folks. I'm sure all of you know who Joe Carini is. If not, he's the personal trainer who worked with Tiki Barber over the last three years of his career, helping him set career highs in rushing yardage, yards per carry and rushing touchdowns.

Larry Johnson employed Carini this offseason in New York. Obviously he had a big workload last year (416 carries) and the history of RBs with that kind of load is not good.

I was just wondering what Cowboys fans had to say about Carini and what changes you may have noticed in Tiki Barber after he worked with the guy. I figured you guys watched him quite a bit since you play the Giants twice a year. I asked some G-Men fans the the other day.

Do you think Carini can do the same thing for Larry Johnson that he did for Barber? Can he help him avoid injury? What sort of season might you predict for LJ (FYI the Chiefs upgraded their offensive line this offseason and drafted a stud WR)?

Anything else you want to throw in, feel free. This is research for a column I'm writing.

Tiki Barber is history now ...let's talk about Larry Johnson. Your thread implies that Larry J is staying with the Chiefs. I guess that's a possibility, but the word is that he's going to be changing uniforms. So Cowboy fans believe He's coming to Dallas. Ther's even some talk about the Eagles coming Up with some $$$ to get him (regardless of his feelings about Caucasian Coaches).

That said, believe the Chiefs need to fortify their OL. Here's an offer you can't refuse ...

We'll give you Runyan and a third pick for Larry J?

What do you say?

I would say NO to that.

The Chiefs would be wanting high draft picks at the very least.

Is that why there is so much gloom and doom in the city of fountains? Everyone that isn't completely ate up with the Chefs and can take a step back and do a unbias reality check thinks 8-8 will be the best they can hope for this year.

Living up here I get to hear all the stories on a daily basis. The general feeling I get listening to Chef fans are that the D isn't fixed yet and the O is going to take another step back this year. The window of opportunity for the Chefs to win another super bowl (something I'm convinced will never happen) is closed.

Yeah, I would say so.

But if I were the Chiefs, I would not make that trade.

I think they are trying to get Cleveland's first round pick Dallas has.

Hahhahahahahahaha

they chiefs were watching when we bent the eagles over for Spencer in the draft and will surely be trying to get in the fun.

Runyan, Wesbrook and a 4th

or Runyan, a 4th and a 2nd.

or a 1st and third.

Hahaha or just keep the 2nd best runner in the game...........

honestly its not like he is burning a hole in their pocket.......

Would you even suggest that lame trade for LT? LJ is younger and almost had as many yards last season.

get real

I could really give a rats !*# about Tiki Barber and his trainer.

If Tiki was so concerned about his ability to play football why was he on Fox and Friends at 7:00am the morning after a Monday Night football game in which he played?

If I was his teammate I would wonder about his desire to the play the game.

For cryin out loud you have the rest of your life to work on your next career...take care of your rest and body during the football season.

Tiki is a fake and always will be.
