Limbaugh was attacked for his thoughts on that matter, even though they were based on what scouts told him.

Did Limbaugh lose his job? Because these are your words right?

"You can come out and cheer and applaud Sam for his bravery and pledge an oath or allegiance to supporting him or if you disagree you can keep your mouth shut. Because if you are one of these people and you say anything that could be construed as negative, you're probably going to lose your job. So yeah, not every person will be lampooned, but every relevant (in regards to this matter) person will be."

And there are plenty more, Bill O'Reilly and many of the talking heads over at Fox News. And I know I can simply google any conservative organization+michael sam and can get some kind of negative reponse. and they aren't all publicly lampooned like you say. There is just as much support out there for those who don't like homosexuals as those that are okay with their life style choice.

Where is the outrage that Jackson Jeffcoat wasn't drafted? The two were very similar prospects with similar credentials, but one can only imagine the outrage if Sam wasn't drafted. Media coverage, hour long segments on the news, President Obama might have put his two cents in on the matter, but there was not outrage for Jackson Jeffcoat..

Jeffcoat also has a pretty significant injury history. Sprained ankle cost him 4 games as a freshman, ruptured left pectoral+shoulder surgery at the end of his sophomore season and his right pectoral+another shoulder injury cost him most of his junior season. Players in Jeffcoat's situation go undrafted all the time, and he may even end up a better player than Sam, wouldn't be a big shocker either way, but there's a very obvious reason why Jeffcoat fell in the draft.

You brought up Limbaugh when I said "Can you fined me someone relevant (not some Joe Schmo with a twitter account) that spoke out in anything other than undying support of Sam that wasn't publicly lampooned or disciplined?"

Limbaugh was publicly lampooned.

But as for the rest, yeah, you can find people who don't like him, but like I said, the dozens of tweets or articles that are homophobic in regards to Sam do not negate the fact that there was 10x as many in support.

Can you tell me why that Dolphins player was fined and disciplined for his tweet, but nothing has happened to Ray Rice who is accused of beating his wife? It seems as if there is an agenda when saying something negative about someone who belongs to a certain group is worse than assaulting a woman.

Nonetheless, you're grasping for straws to try and make it seem as if there is an agenda against Sam. There isn't. Rush Limbaugh saying that he's not surprised he was drafted because he's gay doesn't mean that there are homophobes everywhere that are out to get him.

I don't pretend that there isn't a strong presence that wants Sam to succeed, but you seem to believe that there isn't a strong presence that wants him to fail.

So my original statement saying some, not all, was true and you implying that it was all, was an exaggeration, no?

Missing 11 games as a 4 year starter is a "pretty significant injury history"? Yeah, he missed some games, but it's not like he's Sean Lee or anything. You fail to mention that he came back stronger from that torn pec injury and went on to become an All American and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. He performed substantially better than Sam did at the combine, running a 4.63 (compared to Sam's 4.91), had one more rep on the bench press, had a 36 inch vert (Sam had a 25) had a 123 inch broad jump (Sam had a 114) , 6.97 3 cone drill (7.80 for Sam) and a 4.18 3 cone drill (Sam had a 4.70). Players that perform like Sam did at the combine and players that rack up most of their stats against the sister's of the poor go undrafted a lot more often than players like Jeffcoat.

So my original statement saying some, not all, was true and you implying that it was all, was an exaggeration, no?

Once again, grasping for straws, I already said there would be Joe Schmos who would speak out against them, but if someone relevant says something negative about him, they will be criticized, even if his sexuality is not the issue. Of course you're not going to see the Southern Baptist Coalition of Football Coaches get criticized for their opinion of Sam, no one cares about them and frankly, their opinions are irrelevant. If Tony Romo were to speak out against Sam, he'd be criticized. Can you tell me who holds more power, the coach potatoes who might criticize Sam or the throngs of media, celebrities and politicians who support him. I've pointed out someone who has been punished for speaking out against Sam, but can you find me anyone who has been punished for speaking out in support of him? Genuinely curious. Do you honestly believe that a small conservative group not being in support of Sam is the same as CNN, ESPN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, DEA, OBGYN and TNT being in support of him? It's like saying, yeah I know Heidi Klum and Candice Swanepoel like me, but Janet Reno doesn't, so I'm a failure with women.

I believe my exact quote was "So yeah, not every person will be lampooned, but every relevant (in regards to this matter) person will be."
