What does Kiffin need to do to get fired?

1. Saints had 40 first downs, which is an NFL record.
2. Second game in 3 weeks in which Dallas allows more than 600 yards.
3. Saints set a record of more yards in a single game IN TEAM HISTORY (625).
4. The 625 yards was 5th in a single game in HISTORY (post-merger era).
5. 31st in the league in yards allowed... and this is without counting the last game.
6. NFL record of allowing 4 QBs to throw for more yards, and there are still another 6 games left (no doubt we will shatter the record. this will be safer than Emmitt's record).

So when is it enough? How much worse can it get? How many more "records" do we need?

Maybe Jerry is waiting for teams to get 750+ yards against us? Or maybe 60+ points?

I understand the defense is decimated by injuries, but this performance is unacceptable. I normally don't believe it makes sense to fire coaches mid-season unless things are really bad.... well, things are really bad and they can't get any worse. Kiffin is done and he needs to be fired this week.

He needs to have a full defense, of players. Not replacement players....if it is **** then, he is gone.

Jerry isnt gonna fire the old man mid-season. And knowing Jerry's inability to shoulder blame...he will probably have the old man "step aside" at the end of the year. We can kill the decisions that were made going into this season, but killing the organization for not making changes at this point, is crazy IMO. Firings are not going to happen with 6 games left. This is what we have.

He just needs to keep taking naps in the booth like he has been doing all year.

Jerry fired Wade with about 8 games left in the season (and the team improved by the way). The team is still in the playoff picture, but I don't see how we will get there with Kiffin. The situation is getting worse every week.

Easiest way would be to promote one of the instant gratification/hysterically overeating posters to GM. Of course, we would be firing a new coach after every game. Win or loss.

But I would love to hear how any one here would have run our defense with the talent level we are putting on the field. Mind you that Phillips, Ryan and now Kiffin havent been able to do anything with it.

Nothing. He will get caught holding the bag despite not being the one who bought the groceries or decided it would be a good idea to switch defensive schemes without the adequate personnel. Just be patient.

Most teams improve when the team makes a coaching change. Thats why some teams refuse to go with an interim head coach. Under the interim, they undoubtedly win a few games they shouldnt have won...and everyone has false hope in the guy and he gets appointed full time head coach...and then down the drain everything goes.

I agree about Kiffin. But we also arent getting to the playoffs with 12 yards passing in the first half....and being unable to convert a 3rd down.

give up 899 or more yards in a single game would probably be the last straw.
