What Does the Dallas Defense Need To Do This Week?

I think one of the main deals is remember you are playing Tampa Bay not Tom Brady. Meaning you can't completely focus on him and allow running game to beat you. When WR make a catch limit it to the catch not big yards after the catch. Do not get caught up in the media love feast with Brady. We know he is good but take care of your responsibilities because frankly Brady can't beat you on his own, he relies on the weapons around him. He will not run like Hurts or Lamar Jackson so as I said WR catch the ball limit it to the catch, shut down the run.

Figure out a way not to allow long passes to Evans/Godwin/Jones down the right sideline against this week's not-Anthony-Brown.

I agree we can't allow quick strikes by an 8-9 team. Forcing them to move the ball long distance without any quick strikes and doing this without mistakes is not a strong suite of Tampa

I'll go at Donovan Smith since he's the weakest link on that Offensive line. Challenge Lawrence/ Parsons to advantage of that situation and give them both Tues/Wednesday off the next week

I've watched a good bit of Buc's games this year.

They are not good at all at running the football. They don't abandon it early in games though. It seems like they hardly ever run off tackle primarily running up the middle and between the tackles. They hardly ever attack the edges running the ball.

With that said, their lack of running success makes them pass the ball way more than they'd like and it frustrates Brady. They haven't had much success hitting anything deep in the passing game either with the exception of last week against the Panthers. As usual, Brady gets the ball out quick. They like to throw the ball to Godwin at the line of scrimmage quick and see if he can make something happen with it. He finally seems to be right after starting off the year banged up.

It seems like Evans has dropped a ton of passes this year just by what I've seen. With that said, they still try and force him the ball even when he is struggling. He is their main threat down the field even though he doesn't seem really all that fast. Brady has no problem checking a defense down to death still. Seems like the running backs out of the backfield are involved a lot in the passing game.

I think it'll be tough to sack Brady because he gets the ball out quick. Most of it will be by design of course. Their offense is not explosive. If we can bottle up their running game like most teams have done and force them to try and sustain long drives then we can shut them down. I'd put seven in the box but disguise pressure and send it often. The turnovers and hopefully sacks will follow.

So we need Wilson and Kearse to be on their game. Any quick passes on the outside we need this game flying to the ball carrier

1. We need at least 28 to beat Bucs. Offense better be able to demuver

2. Defense needs to do 3 things: a. Stop their run game, b. Pressure Brady up the middle not from the sides and c. Sure tackling

If we do these we can win
So you’re saying our defense is that bad, that they will likely give up 27 points to a team that averaged 18. I really hope that doesn’t happen. We will never get to the promised land until we have a legit defense. A defense that gives up 27 to TB may give up 40 to the better offenses.

That’s easy, we don’t have a legit defense

Hold the Bucs to 19 points like they did in game 1 and hope that the offense can score more than 3 like they did in that same game

LVE and Hanky back. Bland is healthy. Micah seems pumped about it all.

I say, Dallas D keeps Brady under 20

Before any of this stop the run, stop Tom, need LV back, Wilson and Kearse etc....Our QB needs to not set records for 3 and outs so this D can have a breather! They couldn't even get sat down before they had to go back out on the field!
