What exactly did Keshawn do wrong?

JIGGYFLY said:
How is that showing leadership did he once accept any of the blame for putting the receiver in that position Aikman even said that Drew should have known better.

No disrespect man, but you have 14 total posts, all in this thread probably, and you have repeated the same things over and over. What is the deal? Did you just find this site today?

Had that play resulted in an injury, it would be viewed a bit differently.

But it DID, just to set the record straight, lead to an injury, albeit hopefully a minor one.

A bruised sternum for KJ, which he said he is having checked out today.

I have been coming to this sight longer than you have been a Member just do not have time to post a lot I joined before you did.

If Drew is not careful he could lose some of the team with these antics you do not call out players like that. remember thats the reason allen got on the kicker about blaming the long snapper those types of things are just not done.

Please!

Drew isnt losing anyone. Those "antics" you speak of are what make leaders who they are.

Parcells is a leader and if he would have yelled at Keyshawn nobody would have said anything about it. Its what leaders do. Bledsoe is establishing himself as leader of this team.

Some of you are just used to the Quincy Carter way of doing things. Somone fumbles hell with it, Im getting blazed!

This subject must be important to you, for some reason.

As far as Keyshawns injured sternum goes, I hope he sucks it up and gets ready for Sunday. If Price gets in there, Johnson may never get his spot back.

Besides, it tends to hurt less when you hold onto the ball.

Really? I didn't know that. I guess the final word has not been written on this yet. Having said that, I'm not going to get overly excited about it.

When we signed KJ, I smiled to myself. I might have been alone at that time. Not sure if you were posting yet. ;) . I have always liked KJ because he competes. Yeah, he's got some things, but fear is not one of them. I think he always brought something to every team he ever played on. He may always raise his hand and make sure every knows who's going over the middle but he also gives you everything he's got. A lot of players don't do that. When Sunday roles around, I think we'll see KJ suited up.

He's a gammer......

you werent the only one.key has been good so far the two years, one little sideline thing isnt going to make me view him negatively after playing pretty damn good in bad and good times. much respect for key.

What does Q have to do with anything, A real leader accepts responsibility and does not yell at people for things not in there control. Parcells is a leader and did you see him yelling at Key no he let him vent and then told him to get his head back in the game.

Yeah like dissention with Chrebet when he was with the Jets. Chrebet stayed, Keyshawn was shown the door.

Like complete chaos to the Bucs because he didnt like Gruden, who by the way, traded him.

Seems like he's bringing all the wrong stuff.

Get over it! You will never see many of us bashing Key. He brings alot to this team.

Key performs .... PERIOD

Key gets us 1st downs

Key scores TDs

Key compliments Terry enough where Terry is a HUGGGE factor.

Ill take that all day over the crap your trying to lay out here. :D

Yeah, I should have known Nova would still be here 24 hours later mouthing off the same crap that Parcells, Bledsoe, Keyshawn and Aikman, and every other Dallas fan has forgotten about already

That's your opinion. You can say what you want about the guy but he comes to play. In NY, he may have had issues but he always came to play. In TB, he didn't get along with Gruden but he always came to play.

Keyshawn is mental. It’s what it is. Have to take the good with the bad.

I understand were your coming from you just do not like Key no matter what and that is sad.

Exactly so stop arguing with that bum Nova guy, and just ignore the guy

you're not going to change the way he thinks or feels so just call him moronic (for example), and move on

it is what it is

Bledsoe wasn't watching the game on TV. He didn't get to watch the replays so it's easy for you to sit back from your living room and take shots at him. He was being blitzed on the play, Key was his hot read and he got rid of it. Then he sees Key catching and fumbling the ball for a score. He sees a game we're in total control of get a little less in control and he says something to Key. If he got to see the play over he probably says nothing. Key clearly overreacted. That's the only reason we're wasting bandwidth talking about this. It won't be the last time Bledsoe calls out a teammate for making an error- even if as in this case Key really wasn't at fault. But neither was Bledsoe on making the throw. Move on. The players have.

I don't think either are to blame. It was a great play by the db. Drew shouldn't have said anything and Key shouldn't have blown up.

My thoughts exactly.

I wouldn't mind it if Drew said something to a rookie, but Key is a vet. He doesnt need to be told to protect the ball. Key was already pissed about the turnover. It was a good play by the D.

Key also should have brushed off the comment. No need to go off like that. A simple "I know" would do.

I hope both players enjoyed the win... I did!

Key prides himself in taking the shots. Well he took one and didnt secure the ball which cost us 7 points. In any of our other games this year it would have cost us the game. Thats the point. Key screwed up and Bledsoe let him know about it. Next time Key should hold on the the ball. "Gimmie the Damn Ball" is Key's book. Well Bledsoe is writing "Then Hold on the the Damn Ball"... Key fumbled plain and simple Bledsoe completed the pass and Key didnt secure it good enough.

On a side note, two years ago I would have ranked the following 4 players as the most overrated in the NFL.

1. Eddie George- OUCH! He averaged 4 YPC in only 2 of his 9 NFL seasons. I wonder how he kept his job more than I wonder how he was considered a good RB.

2. Sapp – has not been above average in a long time.

3. Key – never impressed me.

4. Arrington- can make some big plays... but not as many as he gives up (penalties, missed assignments, missed tackles, etc).

After seeing what Key does as a complete player, I have to say I was wrong about him. He isn’t a guy who will light you up, but he is a very good football player.
