I know people don't like Bennett, but we need 2 resign this guy NOT get rid of him.

For a middling salary I would re-sign Bennett.

He is a bigger key for our outside running game than Fiammetta is.

He is a young, underrated player. He will never be a great receiver. Once you get that out of your system you see a pretty good player.

Sorry guys, but we can't get rid of Spencer if there isn't an upgrade. Yeah he has his up and downs, but it's not like he's a scrub. He's a solid starting outside linebacker just not spectacular. Unless he demands an insane amount of money he'll be back. With Spencer the expectations were simply too high. He was never predicted to have a high ceiling. From what I heard and read from the draft scouts everyone thought he'd be solid, but not spectacular. 4-5 sacks and a very good player against the run. If we had a legit pass rusher opposite Ware someone that can get 10 sacks Spencer would look much better.

There are a lot of Cowboys fans that don't want to admit that because truthfully, as sad as it sounds, he is the best CB we have. They just turn a blind eye to the truth because of that. He is the ONLY CB that even turns and looks for the ball. None of the others do.. I'm not sure why JG or RR doesn't point that out to them on film.

Bennett in my mind is completely worthless and we don't need someone who is going to negatively impact the team with his attitude or have it rub off on other players. He can go be LAZY and not catch any balls somewhere else. If he is such a good blocker, then he needs to fatten up and be an offensive linemen.

The advantage of not putting an OL in is you force the defense to stay in their base package and not bring in their jumbo. That way you have a physical advantage blocking with him versus an LB.

One of the major problems with this team is the mental makeup of it. We need to change that and Bennett is a problem child who is majorly lazy.

It was nice having D Murray, Fiammetta, and Bennett all healthy at one point in the season. If we can upgrade Costa, that in itself should continue to push the running game forward.

Upgrade? Crazy cowboy would be an upgrade over spencer.

You can't make wholesale changes like that because of the cap and because FA's are expensive and you only have so many draft picks. It would take 2-3 years to do that much roster changeover.

You basically want to get rid of all the players who aren't Pro Bowl quality. You generally want playmakers distributed throughout the roster at different positions and average role players elsewhere. Because of the cap you'll never see a team loaded like the 92 Cowboys again.

If we could bring him back for 3 years $7M I'd be all over that. He is an important cog in this offense even if he's never going to be the second coming of Witten.

He does a good job at getting yards on the dumpoffs, he is an excellent pass blocker, he is an elite run blocker. Outside of his earlier social media gaffes which have stopped this year he has been a good player for us.

Of all these guys mentioned... Martellus has been a huge disappointment, and I've been one of his biggest fans and biggest supporters. But I just don't see the need to keep paying this very inconsistent, yet very talented blocker. Because that is all he does fairly well, is block.
