What good running backs are left?

I will defer to your thoughts on him as I have only seen a little film on RJ. And if Dallas is looking for a guy that can take Pollards place next year and split time with him, then RJ might be the right pick.

I was thinking more of getting players that were playmakers and were fast and versatile. Either that or role players. Bell cow running backs that can do it all and take the ball 30 times a game are GREAT, if you can get them. But guys who give you the ability to gameplan to beat players on the other team.......sweetness for me.

RJ can run inside I am sure. He is 6' 220lb and ran a 4.58 - 40. Luekpe is faster or at least as fast and bigger.

Him and say a Duece Vaughn (who was incredibly good but small) would be better choices IMO than a single guy. They allow for the power and quickness. Some games you might need one style and as said, contrast.....might need another. Speed/Quickness/Power are the three keys to the game, and RJ might be the better option, but IMO Vaughn/Luekpe would be.
no u dont take pollards replacement until he needs replacing, so i disagree, so worry about that next draft, need to replace zeke the best we can, so i want a bigger back.. welp let go see what they do..on the edge of our seats LOL
been strange last 2 drafts for me not knowing much of the players taken but they seem to work out..

Zeke was a huge bell cow. You don't replace bell cows except with bell cows. Bijan wasn't an option. Get the best playmakers you can and worry with using them for mismatches. Get a FB for the blocking and short yardage stuff. Don't destroy the back like you did Zeke, but spread them out so they will last longer.

Like Johnson and Israel but think they will be gone by pick 10.
Thinking we may need to call Tennessee about trading for Henry the way this is going. I’m NOT confident in our RBs outside of TP
Sadly, we are setting ourselves up to be fleeced by the Titans or we're going to resign Zeke.

If we attempt to go into the season with just Malik Davis and a Tony Pollard coming off of injury, we are going to be in trouble. I love Tony Pollard's explosive game, but if we're making him the workhorse back, a lot of that explosion will disappear as we get deeper into the season due to his increased workload and we don't know how much of that explosion he has due to the injury.

Now, we're pretty much forced to take an o lineman here and hope some kind of rb falls to us.

I liked what I saw of Malik Davis in doses, but not enough to entrust him the 2nd rb spot without any kind of competition.

This is reminding me of the year we lost Murray and went in with Joseph Randle as lead back.

talking 2019-2022 zeke ie "his type" per sey ok so let's not mistake we are on the same page but have different views on the players too choose .BTW bell cows sometimes are lost and fall and you will find a HOF player like brady or Kurt warner or a purdy or romo type late ie daks and pollard are 4th rounders....no reason to judge players over draft placement...im saying i believe Roshon is a starter type, a bigger back that can take 15+ snaps a game and not lose much plus block, and do short yardage. he was hidden behind a great player as weve seen in the past, those can be steals when they fall to you late... if we are doing RBBC splitting carries i think RJ is great choice to take most of zekes old duty's. if he gets beat out by Malik or someone else , so be it its late round choice.

I would run a different style, but you may very well be correct in the end and have the exact best player Dallas could draft.

we got that different style lo Pollard, jones, and Mailk all smaller faster backs.. what we don't have is another back you can count on for the tough work 15 snaps short yardage and blocking as well as some normal runs IE the d will not be able to guess whats coming because of the rotations.. maybe your guy will work i know nothing about him , just offering my thoughts as i do know RJ well..

some fans are clueless to the cap vs also Henrys age and have to give up draft capital. Henrys not good fit because of those challenges. we already have dead cap on the books for Zeke, 10mil for pollard i mean how much $$$ and a draft capital can we add to the RB room??

I’m a bit perplexed at the moment. I’m currently on the fence as to which RB I want the most.. Roschon Johnson or Kenny McIntosh. I was all in for RJ.. but if you haven’t seen McIntosh’s film yet, check it out.
According to my amateur eye:
- he has the speed to separate as a Receiver and at the 2nd level RB
-patient w/blocks, but explodes when he sees the hole
-subtle ability to make the first guy miss
-with his physical makeup, I was surprised how he absorbed hits and ran through folks
-has the speed to play in slot WR. (Imagine Pollard, Cooks, Lamb, and this kid on the field.. speed kills)

He’s the type of player that can be used all over the offense, not just stuck as Pollards back up. I think Im changing my mind ab which RB I want as Im typing this

We need a bell cow/short yardage guy. We already have our gazelle.

Not much left. Zach Evans still available? He'd be OK.

I don’t know what I am missing with Deuce. Sure he is a midget and lacks breakaway speed, but watch his highlights, he gets tough yards. Get him in space and he is one of the best backs in the draft. His size is concerning and is probably not the ideal pairing with Pollard, but I just feel he is going to find a way to stick in the nfl.

Lots of them. Remember, Pollard was a day three pick. There are 10-12 guys left that I'd be fine with getting today.
Man, Jake, I hope you are right. I don't see any/many compliments to Polly left. Most either can't block, have no agility, or no burst.

Got someone in mind?

He'd be the 3rd RB/returner type, not the complement to Polly.

Excellent player, BTW. More of a Nyheim Hines type.
