What guys here have Wives / Girlfriends who hate your game playing?

I don't play. And I try to get the guys to teach me to play, but I suck at even the car driving games, so that's a no-go.

I usually get on my 'puter and let them do their thing.

I actually get more crap about me being on my 'puter than I give them about playing their games. lol

My wife is an avid gamer, just like I am. We play pretty much every video game together, from WoW down to single player games(take turns with the controller). It's a really special thing to be married to somebody who shares interests that way. She really is my best friend on top of being in love.

The worst thing about it is she is always the one insisting we buy collector's editions of stuff, which runs the cost of buying two copies of games way up, haha. :laugh2:

This is usually the issue (unless you're with one of those chicks who thrive on drama like it's air or water). The only time my hubby and I disagree about time spent on games is when the game gets priority over other things/people that it shouldn't.

We'd probably play games together at times, but we're not into the same things. I don't want to shoot/kill/harm anything, digital or otherwise (although I will now say Sandusky's is a corpse I would gladly line up to spit on), I lack the attention span for those time-eater leveling games, and he won't play games that I beat him at. : )

My playing time decreased when I met my wife. Not because she didn't like me playing, but because she wants to watch. So now I have to wait until she's home to play, and usually then I'm not in the mood.

This could be taken so many different ways.

Well it happens At some point even the most hardcore video game players find this female who is kinda nice and pulls them away from their games for a little while. Then you settle down with them and want to go back to your games and they don't like it

See, whereas most guys would be bothered by this, I would be encouraged. I'd love to teach my girlfriend how to play games but she's just not interested.

My GF loves street fighter 4 and Marvel vs Capcom 3, if i play anything else she gets upset. She hates when i play long single player games like Red Dead and Mass effect which just happen to be the type of games i love

This is how it is w/ my GF and I. We play all MMO's together and really are never apart in the game.

I usually tank or main heal and she is a support class typically or main healer. Is she is MH then I will usually tank, though I constantly am the tank because I have done it for such a long time.

I kinda hate doing it anymore, but when you have a solid tank and excellent heals, those epic runs turn into easy mode.

My wife and I are both gamers who play a lot less these days regardless, she's never had an issue with it but our tastes in games have changed over time, we don't really play the same sort of games anymore.

Lately, she's been playing a lot of those dance games as a way of working out... it's fun to watch.

I pretty much only play shooters, sports and a few adventure games these days. Games that are easy to get in and out of, I don't have the attention span for really complex, drawn out games anymore.
