I've watched every game as well with an eye on the center, Al Johnson has played very consistently. He's played very well in the running game especially when he pulls or is required to get downfield to block on the linebackers.

Where all these ideas about him playing poorly come from I haven't a clue. But since I've never seen one of the posts list any specific play which shows Johnson failing in his assignment, I've just taken to chalking it up to fans who aren't really watching that portion of the game tape. All I can say is the tape I've been watching has show solid play by Al Johnson.

Right. And Johnson is really just a rookie because of last year's injury. Give him a little more experience; he'll be fine.

It wasn't the bad snaps that ended the rotation, it was Gurode's mental mistakes.

Same old Gurode.

The better player is playing - AlJohnson

Gurode was admonished by BP for mental errors - his memesis.

There were a lot of Gurode supporters that are grasping at straws. Not only is Gurode not starting, he's not even playing. He can't mentally handle running an offense long term in game situations.

You'll hear all the naysayers deny it but in College and his rookie year he's been "moved" out of center.....

I like Al but the truth is he got his butt handed to him yesterday, as he was being blown off the ball on quite a few plays. Gurode could get another chance if Al does not get his butt into gear

yes johnson was playing against one of the most explosive strongest guys in hte league, in young Isaac Sopoaga. He wasnt going against a pansy. Johnson is by far the better player. BP is doing anything he can to give Gurode a shot at C, but how many times can a guy blow it and just not get it, before we finally stop giving him chances?

Don't get me wrong I like both guys and have no problem with Johnson but he has to do better than he did yesterday. As for Gurode at least according to what I heard from Parcells it was an exchange problem and if Gurode does not correct that he will not get many chances.
