What happened to Defense being strength of this team?

Defense was never elite, fans just overreacted too early in the season.

We have a great pass rush, a good pass D (when CBs are healthy) and a bad run D.

Add it all up and you get a middle of the pack defense.

Nah, I don't think Dak is elite or anything. I just think your assessment of him and the team is so far removed from reality that if you're not trolling and are serious and you think that way about other things in life that things probably aren't going so well, lol. Like you're literally blaming the defenses terrible play on Dak being back at QB because they played better the first few games with Rush. It's almost like the season has progressed and other teams/coaches have adjusted to the defense and coupled with LB and secondary injuries and a hobbled Micah, they gave up a 14-point 4th quarter lead. But nah, it's all Dak's fault because he's a fake leader at QB and that somehow makes the defense decide they are going to give up a 14-point 4th quarter lead. It appears the defense could be falling apart. The defense has dropped outside the top 10. The Cowboys have given up 450 rushing yards the past two games which is something they haven’t done in back to back games in 35 years. Not even our historically bad 2020 defense did that. Our run defense has dropped to 28th in the league. Now our pass defense is starting to falter and we’re giving up points. We were holding opponents to one TD practically every week and now we’re giving up multiple TDs. We’ve given up an average of 30 points the past two games. It’s looking like the Cowboys have begun their Nov/Dec swoon. You can almost set your clock to it every season. The Cowboys have become so predictable it’s almost comical. They always peak early and begin to fade when the most critical games start to arrive.

The defense gives up game winning drives consistently to multiple QBs just like they did to Brady in the first game.

To be fair they only gave up 19 points to the Bucs. Offense never got going. Eagles put on what 26 or 27 points? Not a brutal amount. The D has a few issues but the offense needs to step up in the clutch to win games the D doesn't dominate.

Defense was off last night. Sometimes "it'll be like that" some nights. We can blame the weather, bye week, venue, field conditions, momentum, player injuries, regardless of your justification I am not giving up on this unit at all.

Cowboys are 6-3 because of their Defense. Bottom Line!! This defense isn't the 2000 Ravens and definitely need to address some issues before they become a problem inthe future, but a lackluster week 10 showing at Green Bay isn't the nail inthe coffin as some fans making it..

I don't consider the defense to be elite because there are issues in the secondary and stopping the run. But they have an elite defender and other very good players so it's a strong defense. It shouldn't be forgotten that they turned the ball over and gave the offense fantastic position for 14 points and Prescott turned over another possession in the red zone. How many points did the offense put up in the 4th quarter and OT?

No only a losing fan would accept 7+ year of bottom tier run defense that cost you two playoff games. Tell the Jones to fix this issue once and for all.
