Thats my most concerning thing when it comes to the Cowboys. Back in 2008 we traded for Roy Williams. Back in 2018 we traded for Amari Cooper.

The recency of the NFL. Teams that are active in both free agency and the trade market seem to have success. The rams, eagles, the 49ers, the lions, ravens, bills, packers.... and there are many more. PFF had a top 20 in terms of free agent signings from last year, and were not even close to being on it. When jerry used to make trades we all thought he was crazy, but at least he went for it. Now? We're not even close to brining in a big time free agent or making. a big time trade.

Back in 2023 the Gilmore and cooks moves worked out pretty well. Why not at least more of those? I get it dak has a big cap number this year. But try and get creative. Go out, get myles garret. Draft the best DT and RB available, and this team doesn't look so bad. It's the nfl, a lot can change in a year. If we were actually "all in" we could make some noise. But we choose not to be.

Hard to go for it when you’re paying two players top money at their positions and are planning to pay another player top money. Can’t be trading away draft picks for high priced players.

The goal has changed. Before, the goal was to win on the field. Now it to win at Forbes.

Jerry thinks he is winning. And he doesn't care about the fans. It's just the sad reality of our situation now.
You all keep saying this but with no basis. Just because they haven't won doesn't mean they haven't tried. Outside of this past season at least. I don't really know what that was.

.. the eagleas winning the super bowl will make Jerry think out of the box.
Not like he's getting younger.
But Jerry lives in the box of cracker jacks. He has his prize In the form of $60 per year.
I think he got a bad broken toy. :muttley:

The same thing that happened to : all in.

Gailey, Campo, Wade, Garrett says otherwise

Jerry doesn't care about that. He won't lose a second of sleep over it.

The Eagles could win it again next year and he still won't lose a second of sleep over it.

Because we have Jerry and a front office full of yes men who's only job is to kiss the Boss's rear.

It's Stephen. He gets in Jerry's ear and convinces him that any move is too risky. That's why we remain in football purgatory. Afraid to do anything to improve the team beyond the basic draft. I would love to punch Stephen in his fat face

Someone should use reverse phycology on Jerry Jones , tell him , can you imagine how much attention Cowboys would get by going all in to win a Super Bowl and winning it!
