I used to be a big Bruce Willis fan but he's barely been in anything watchable this decade.

Stuff I've read about his recent films talk about a miserable prick who just wants to collect a paycheck.

Shows up for a few days if filming and is in "his films" for about 10 minutes of run time. But the put his name on the cover as the big star. He gets paid, barely has to work, and his career goes down the drain.

It's sad because I used to like the guy too.

Met him at his place in Hailey, ID, The Mint, down the block where he paid 300K for a house to be a full size doll house for his wife at the time, Demi Moore. The Mint was a pretty cool place with a music venue upstairs; however, he was not. He was rude until he was informed I operated the radio station in Boise that was their promotional partner vehicle, then he came over and was friendlier. I liked him better when he was rude.

He bought the place so he could play harmonica with bands they booked when he was in town. Freakin' hobby.

I always liked his roles but he was basically the same in them but that was OK. How many roles doesn't Pacino yell in? And I like him too.

There's only one Daniel Day-Lewis and he's hanging it up. Man, I hate than but I understand it. I am exhausted after watching him pour himself into a role. He may be the best at not being himself in a role that I have ever seen. Guys like Cruise and Damon can't stop being themselves as actors in the role, Day-Lewis is the role.

Speaking of jerks irl, I have met Tommy Lee Jones twice. Once on a plane and another in Austin. This guy takes the cake for rudeness and cockiness. I do like him in movies though.

He contracted Seagalese and has been D-T-V ever since. Statham will catch it next. And I watch movies from all 3 of these guys but mainly watch Seagal to see when that widow's peak is going to meet his nose. I can't figure out if he's dying his hair or his scalp. In a survey I got a call on last week, I voted for Seagal to be the last person I would want to play "Patty Cake" with. The man could bittchslap King Kong and Godzilla simultaneously and make both cry. However, Chuck Norris could kick all 3 of their butts at the same time.
And they would all run from Jason Witten and he would not catch them because he is old and slow now

I separate the people and their politics from the art. It's all about whether I am entertained, I am selfish that way.

One of the nicest people I ever met was the original bad guy you hated because he loved being the bad guy, Jack Palance. After Shane came out, he couldn't go into a bar without someone wanting to fight him and the man is 6'5".

This is a true story told to me by the former Chief of Detectives in Dallas. I cannot recall the actor that played Bobby on "Dallas" but the week after the episode where he dies aired he was at a well known local restaurant. The cops got at least 4 calls from people saying they had just seen him alive and well and he was supposed to be dead. The funniest part was one of his detectives said "and these are the people we have to serve and protect"?

I separate them too, just want entertainment. My wife did a surgery procedure on a friend of Robert Davi, the FBI guy in Die Hard, Goonies, etc. She said he was the sweetest guy she ever met, very cordial. He made sure her Starbucks cup never got empty.

Funny thing is she never knew who he was for a couple days. He spent about a week by his friends bedside because he had no family left.

When she told me about this actor, I had to give her his Die Hard quotes

I'm kinda surprised as well as disappointed in hearing what Tommy Lee Jones is like in real life. I abosolutely loved his character in my most favorite movie of all time, Lonesome Dove.

I never thought he was a great actor, but he made a lot of good movies in the late 80s through the late 90s. His career has tanked over the last decade or so. He does about 20 straight to video movies a year now.

What happened?
I noticed that too. I don't know if it's related but a few years back his home in Las Vegas was forclosed on and not long after that he filed bankruptcy.

Still got a long way to go to match Randy Quaid. After his real life exploits, I am not sure he was acting as Cousin Eddie.

"Johnson, no the other one" was a great line but the line of the movie was Dwayne Deputy DA's one "looks like we're going to need some more FBI guys".

Supposedly, the nicest and most generous actor to ever inhabit Hollywood was one of the original bad guys, Edward G. Robinson. After he passed away, the stories everyone had to tell were really interesting. A reporter asked someone why these stories weren't told while he was still living and they said it would have embarrassed him, he did these things for people because he was such a kind man and preferred to stay in the background.

NC had some hits as some have mentioned (I liked national treasure personally) but it all went down hill for me after I saw this:
