LDE- Lawerence

3Tc- Hardy

NT- Crawford

RDE-Gregory

Thought that was what everybody was waiting for......And like all the carries Christine Michael was supposed to get ...it disappeared. Any guesses?

Don't think you saw that lineup once Sunday....Very disappointing

Coaches over think this one? Comments....

My guess is that we won't see that package a whole lot outside of 3rd and long. So, with how well the Giants ran the ball yesterday, it wasn't used much.

I've gotta say, I still believe in Crawford and Lawrence, but they are not living up to expectations 6 games in

Just wait till Hardy and Gregory get back then you'll see the others take off!

They didn't take off, but can you honestly complain about the defensive front from a pass rush stand point?

They had two sacks. They clearly didn't allow Eli to get comfortable. There were two big pass plays that really killed us. The slant to Harris and Randle's one handed catch. That's on McClain for doing a half assed drop and Carr for not being able to locate the ball.

Yeah we got overpowered a bit up front, but this is a 4-3 defense and we know because of the lack of size up front you need your linebackers to be able to take on and defeat blocks and fill holes in the run game. The DL has to get up field and get after the quarterback. That's why they play very wide. Doesn't mean they don't have run responsibilities, but if they don't get penetration they need help from the backers. Can't have McClain and Lee getting tricked and allowing linemen to get to the second level and get backs downhill.

They played snaps with Hardy at DT and Gregory at DE with Crawford at the other DT spot. I'm not certain who was at the other DE spot other than Jack Crawford was at LDE on one of them.

Hardy had a sack playing DT.

they barely passed the ball. Eli and the offense stunk. Our offense and special teams gave the game away.

That was the game plan. They knew their offensive line wouldn't hold up if they couldn't run the ball and take some of the pressure off of Eli.

That is really a package you will see more when Dallas gets some decent sized leads in a game. With Romo and Dez being out and the OL having to get healthy, it has been a real uphill battle to get any kind of substantial lead, unfortunately.

Against the Giants, they just couldn't get out in front enough to put the Giants in a whole lot of passing situations. Plus, when that RB with the crazy name started gashing the defense on runs, I knew right then that we wouldn't see a whole lot of the nickle pass rush line.

It will be there once Dallas can get a decent lead and put the other team in a passing/come-from-behind mode.

The funny thing is that they did use that package with Hardy and Crawford as the DTs with Gregory at DE but the OP thinks it never happened.

Yeah, I know. They didn't use it very much, so I answered as if he was asking why so seldom? They did when it was 3rd and pretty long sometimes, and like you mentioned, Hardy's sack came from DT.

Slowly but surely the team is being put back together after all of the injuries and as that happens, we will see more and more of the Gregory-Crawford-Hardy-Lawrence line.

Might be too late though for 2015.

I'm not giving up until they are mathematically eliminated.

I hear you. Me either... but it is frustrating to watch what was a very smart off-season plan get gutted by injuries. To finally have the defense that would support the potent offense and to see that offense get derailed by injuries is more than frustrating.

However, they still could pull it off if Cassel gets a little better and Dez comes back and opens things up just enough.

I will say this: If Dallas somehow does make it to the post season, then it will be all the sweeter for us. The NFC better hope they don't sneak in.
