so why jump off the cliff now?

Who's jumping? I was merely stating my opinion. Just because it differs from yours does not mean I am any less correct or incorrect.

1) What happens if the O-line can not protect Bledsoe on the Blitz and He(Bledsoe) is injured? Is the season a waste, or can we count on Romo or Henson?

2) Julius Jones is the man, but what if the man gets hurt, are we (as cowboy fans) confident if the A-Train and Marion Barber to get the job done?

3) WANTED RECEIVERS UNDER 30 NEEDED APPLY AT VALLEY RANCH

I think that has to be out sour spot, Morgan is not very impressive, if
keyshaw or glenn gets hurt, then who do we have to step in an contribute right
away? I have heard that Ahmad Merrit has been turning some heads and comments of suggestions on him........

I do not think we have any problems on the Defensive side of the ball but again any suggestions or comments would greatly be appreciated

wow, what happens if Payton Manning or Tom Brady gets hurt? what happens if L Tomlinson gets hurt? you can play this game for any team in football...

See I disagree, our season is over if Bledsoe goes down because we are stuck with 2 inexperienced guys. I don't think either one has the ability to do what Roethlisberger did last season. Just my opinion.

By you stating that our season isn't over I could say you are being wildly optimistic and have your head in the clouds. :D

no, i'm stating there's always a chance you havent seen either since drew played in chiacgo and thats not a fair judgment on him.

Tom Brady was inexperienced and not perceived to be that talented either when Bledsoe went down in NE. Here's to history repeating itself with our ex-Michigan QB.

Bledsoe is at best average, he's not anywhere near an elite level. We will be fortunate to win 10 games with him. I will gladly trade a couple of wins to get on with the future, best case, or several wins to know what needs to be done at QB, worst case.

As far as Bledsoe is concerned I feel that Henson would start and BP would bring in an experienced Vet as the back up. Remember that Parcells (as most coaches do) only needs a "bus driver".

As far as Jones is concerned, I think the Cowboys have decent depth at the position to get through it relatively ok. Look at what the Panthers did with Nick Goings. They lost their Top 3 RBs on the depth chart and were still productive, I would expect nothing less out of a Parcells/Gibbs/Shanahan/Belichick(sp?) coached team.

As far as the WRs, the Cowboys have a pretty decent balance of youth and experience, and Keyshawn has not been a headache thus far, nor do I expect him to be. The young guys may surprise you.

If Bledsoe goes down....it will be time to find out what we have in these young kids. IMHO....it couldn't come soon enough....enough playing musical chairs with our QB's.....it could be a blessing in the disguise.

Bledsoe is a short term answer here.....and not a good one IMHO....Vinny clone

Bledsoe has had 1 season in his 12 year career cut materially short by injury. He's very durable.

Tony Romo will be our starter if Drew goes down.

Any season with Drew Bledsoe at QB will end up being a waste. We need to get on with the future at QB, not Parcell's past.

I'll :beer1: to that

Wow finally a easy question...

We insert Henson and win a Superbowl:D

We resign Vinny ,Quincy and trade Henson and Romo for Hutch in a effort to relive the past....death threats follow :p:

Ah... cheer?

No... that would be classless.

Go with either Henson or Romo and see what happens.

Actually I'm more concerned about the WR situation at the moment. As Nors has pointed out Bledsoe is durable if anything.

Uh, turning a new leaf? :D

Come on admit it, you're gonna be rooting for a minor injury...ya know, a twisted ankle...sprained right pinkie...

And you are on the nosey regarding the WR's. That is one THIN position, although I liked Crayton from day one.

Et tu, Mikey? :bang2:

Depends on when in the season the injury to Bledsoe happens.

In TC, he brings back Vinny... and Vinny probably starts the season

During the Season, Parcells goes with Henson/Romo, whomever he feels more comfortable with. Anyones guess who that will be, TC will be telling.

At RB, we're fine. A-Train has done 1000 yrds before. Barber can spell A-Train. Tyson is brought up from PS or given a few plays if already on the team.

WR, as mentioned, is where I'm worried. Copper could be good if he works on his route running. Morgan... who knows, can he learn how to catch (esp. with a bum shoulder)? Crayton, showed some flash, but def. isn't a #1 reciever. If Key and/or Glenn go down for any appreciable amount of time, we could be in some trouble.

you mean like last yr?

or perhaps you meant Romo would start if Drew Bledsoe AND Drew Henson went down

Well we would be exactly where we were 7 games into the season with a possible good young Qb with no real NFL experience. Sooner or later he will have to play or retire from old age. Last year by mid season we knew for a fact that Vinny was not the Qb of our future, now one year later we STILL do not know if Henson can play. Now that is plain stupidity. Now if Bledsoe gets hurt we will have find out if he can play. This should have been done last year when we knew we could not be a serious play off contender and Vinny was not our QB of the future.

"What happens if the O-line can not protect Bledsoe on the Blitz and He(Bledsoe) is injured? Is the season a waste, or can we count on Romo or Henson?"

I can tell you right now the O line can not protect him so this is a very good question. While I hope Bledsoe does not get injured the fact is there is no pass protection from the left side and he will get sacked, pressured, intercepted and possibly hurt. I do not see any Qb coming in and doing much better if they are not protected.
There is a huge difference with the Rothelburger deal, he has a good offensive line. Washington and Houston Texans are in much the same position we are they may have very good Qb's in David Carr and Patrick Ramsey but no one will ever know until they get some protection from the O line.
If Bledsoe goes down Henson or who ever will still not perform any big numbers until he gets some pass protection, and the Super Bowl will not happen.
If Bledsoe went down I would not be surprised to see Parcells bring in another washed up veteran (maybe even Vinny again) to finish out the season. Two facts here
1. Parcells will not play Henson any more than he has to
2. Who ever comes in will not be much better than Bledsoe until we get pass protection.
What will not happen with this O line is for a QB (anyQB) come in here and win 16 games straight. It will not happen.
I have said for the last 5 seasons our worst problem is the O line and it has potential to get better, it still is not there. Curly
