If Tyron Smith (or anyone else) isn't getting the job done then we have a backup. In this case, it's Tyler Smith.

Mike McCarthy is way closer to my stance then yours. I promise Tyron Smiths strength isn't leaving at 32 years old. When I say I'm not worried I mean...like he's probably one of the only starters on this team I'm not worried about.
I agree with you. As long as he's at LT, not RT, we'll be OK.

I want to start by saying I don’t think his losses to Parsons necessarily indicate he’s declined that far. Parsons is having an unreal camp apparently so I’m not going to pin it on Tyron.

But, we do most of our what-ifs involving Tyron and injuries. What happens if his physical deterioration is so much so that he’s an ineffective LT against the better edges?

Do the Cowboys have the ‘nads to sit him? How would they configure the new line-up?
You mean WHEN. Tyron is nearly done, if not already done.

If losing a trench battle to Micah Parsons is any indication of decline then every tackle in the league is on a decline.

I'm far more worried about him holding up physically than I am about a decline in skill level. If he's on the field, he will be great..

The backup OG behind Tyler Smith would become a starter if Tyron gets benched because Tyler would move to LT.

How bad would Tyron need to perform such that the backup OG becoming a starter is a better option...

MP will make many OT's look bad this year, Tyron has the honor of facing him 100x more than the others... MP gonna get the best of him sometimes.

Ride it out this year. Next year move Tyler over and get a new guard
