When you plug them into a 3-4 Defense?

They get broken.

Bones start snapping, hurting, stinging - they just can't take the poundings. They are more used to hiding behind people.

Big Strong, physical backers forward........And the transformation is damn near completed!

James, Fujita, Shanle were all 4-3 LBs too.

Another theory shot down by facts, oops.

What do you want from him? He was dead *** wrong on Al Singleton making this team and he was never going to be a starter again.

He must have nearly 500 posts about that one topic if we wanted to do a search.

He knows nothing about LBs.

The vast majority of LBs can play either system.

Shanle for example broke out last year outplaying Singleton in his limited starts. It was far from a suprise to me that he could play this season.

There have been small guys like Sam Mills play quite well in the 3-4 even.

You do want some size at LB obviously but that often gets wayyy overrated as guys like Robert Jones just weren't very good players regardless of prototypical size. And guys like Mike Singletary were studs regardless of system even tho he was short.

You rat. You totally beat me to the Sam Mills comment. I was waiting for him to respond with some nonsense.

This is perhaps the stupidest post I have seen in a LONG time...maybe not.

But to say that "4-3 linebackers" start breaking their bones when put into the "3-4" is idiotic.

What....do their bodies suddenly change? do their opponents suddenly gain 50 pounds.

Like the earlier poster stated....a linebacker is a linebacker is a linebacker.

Yes - the smaller Linebackers will take a pounding in a 3-4

Thats why BP is bringing in the 6-5 250 POUND BODY TYPES

As JT pointed out explain Sam Mills.

5'7" and a perenial stud in one of the best 3-4's ever.

But, you wouldn't know that. It's football related not a prediction.

If there is an exception there is no rule "Mr. Smith."

The hypothesis is flawed.

There's no resistance to anything Nors. Just amusement that you think this kind of crap passes for insight.
