What happens to Mike Singletary?

With the 49ers tabbing Manusky as their new DC, where does that leave Mike Singletary? Does he go back to the 49ers? How about coming here as AHC/LBs coach? Does anyone have info. on what's up w/ Singletary? I for one would love to hire him as Assistant HC/LB coach. I think he'd be the perfect compliment to Wade's laid-back style.....

I want to know about him and Dat Nguyen who it was reported might be interested in coming here. Of course I don't know what we'd do with Paul Pasqualoni and Vincent Brown if he did. I still like the idea though.

He's still under contract with SF so I assume he goes back to being the Asst HC/LB coach.

I would imagine Mike Singletary will remain on staff with the 49ers but I wish there was away to get him on staff here in Dallas. Probably won't happen but I Love the idea.

I would like this idea myself. If we get Mike Singletary and Dat Nguyen we now have a defensive cordinator for the future in Dat Nguyen because he's learning from Mike Singletary, but to be honest I would like to have Ron Rivera as a defensive cordinator, he knows how to run the 3-4 too.

Might want to do some homework there RCF. He runs a 4-3 and part of the reason Norv was not hired was he wanted Rivera and Rivera wanted a 4-3.

Actually, if he was hired it is very recent. He waited to see how the coaching situation here played out. He interviewed for the job, yes. But he had not signed on last I heard.

Former Texas A&M All-America and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Dat Nguyen visited the University of Houston today and interviewed with coach Art Briles about joining the Cougars' staff.

The Cougars are still waiting on Dat Nguyen, who has asked for a little extra time while he waits to see how things shake out in Dallas. If, as expected, Norv Turner gets the head coaching job, there might very well be a position for Nguyen on the Cowboys' staff.

"We're in no hurry," said Cougars coach Art Briles.

Nguyen, who would fill the void left when safeties coach Clay Jennings joined Baylor's staff, would coach inside linebackers for the Cougars.
