The Vikes defense was gassed int he second quarter, but we kept shooting ourselves in the foot. Shoudl ahve attacked them when they were gassed.

Yet others here said we should have run more.

Seems Garrett cannot win for losing.

I have watched pro football for 35+ years and this game was messed up.

You must be all psyched because of the 2nd BCT coming back Burmafrd-- it's messed with your head.

Last I checked, we won by 10.

Guess some people have to complain about something.

We won by 10, yes. But this thread is about the offense, not the great special teams play on the blocked FG.

And apparently the head coach agrees with me since we only threw 5 passes in the second half.

Wow ..... The Pats have changed everything .... if you do not beat a team by 30 you are suddenly not very good.

This is actually a good point. Hurd sucks. Plain and simple, he can't get open.

Stanback should get some looks on 3 receiver set.

The Vikes did a great job taking away the deep pass. Why force it? I much prefer this gameplan than the mess at Buffalo.

I don't disagree. My point is one here says attack more which usually means pass, others say run.

No matter what Garrett does, someone will complain.

Those pansies? You know 2nd BCT all have pink panties, right?

We keep playing offense like this and we will LOSE against a team that can pass.

First team this year to score a rushing touchdown against Minny. We drove the ball all game against a very, very underrated defense and won by 10. I really was nervous coming into this game. I am happy. Thought it doesn't fit your script. Oh yeah, did we not outscore them by 17 in the second half?

And?

Better to win ugly then to score 35 and lose.

I agree. A win is a win but one would hope by now that the offense would be clicking better. From what I am seeing - they are not.

They seem to be running lukewarm far to often.

Emotion. That's another thing our offense is not showing right now. When the season started they were red-hot. Everyone was jumping and screaming. For the numbers Tony had today we should have put up more points. Straight up true.

Better teams then the Vikings will make us pay if we do not shape up.

The underneath passes were there in the Buffalo game too. On most plays there are long and short pass patterns called. It's the QB that chooses who to throw to.

Let's just say the Vikes had a much better chance of winning this game had Kelly Holcomb started.

We did get more passes to the backs- but I think the mixture needs to be adjusted. And we HAVE to be able to run the ball better - right now we only do it well when the D is tired.

Well, they finally scored a first quarter touchdown.

Unfortunately, they committed two costly turnovers. One that cost us at least 3 points and another that was returned for a touchdown.

If the big play is not there, go for the short pass, and that is was Romo did. And that is what he needs to continue doing.

Yeah, like we would run the same type of gameplan against a team that can pass.

Romo probably really bothered by his hammy cause he sure didn't throw it much in the 2nd half. His lack of mobility probably lead Cowboys to spend much of 2nd half going with their running game with only 2-3 Romo throws. The Vikes bringing more pressure then I thought they capable and I think their pass coverage certainly better then I thought it would be.

Glad we now have a bye week so some of our injuried players can get healthy. Hopefully we will see Hoyte & Henry back in the lineup against the Eagles & any hammy problem Romo has will be gone.

BTW: Glenn can't get back soon enough for me and hopefully with his speed intact, etc.

We won this game.

There was no point during this game when I thought we would lose.

However there is some credence to what Burm asks.

This offense seems off track at times.

I think we can correct the issues as the season goes on but if we keep shooting ourselves in the foot with some bad plays and penalties we will lose some games to better teams.

I think the bye week will help get some players healthy. Give the coaching staff a little time to review some things and make some changes.

However there is nothing wrong, imo, to wonder why the offense has not been firing on all cylinders. We could, and I think we will, improve.
