What, if anything, would you trade for Derrick Henry?

No more than a 3rd, escalates to a 2nd if we make it to the superbowl.

A 3rd would get him. I don't think anybody else would come close to that.
Jerry: "I'll give you a 3rd for Henry."
Titans GM: "Okay, let's do that."
Jerry: "Wait, I'll give a 2nd and a bottle of JWB."
Titans GM: Uh, okay let's finalize the..."
Jerry "Alright, you drive a hard bargain. I'll give a 2nd, some JWB and one of them art pieces in muh' stadium."
Titans GM: "Hold on Jerry, Philly is on the other line."
Jerry: Wait a minute! Daggumitt, I'll give ya my 1st rounder, a CASE of JWB, some art stuff and one my helicopters."
Titans GM: "Deal. Nice doing business Mr. Jones."

I'd give up a 2nd. Those are garbage Jerry gambles anyway. If Henry can at least hit the field regularly, that'd be an improvement over what we usually do with 2nds

On the surface this looks like a panic classic every move. Also it’s weird asset allocation . It reminds me of letting demarco Murray walk and then using a high pick on zeke

I’d trade a second tho
I wouldn't go as high as a second. Tennessee isn't going anywhere and Henry is on a one-year deal. Plus, he's older for a running back.

I'd give up a third, but I would try to get them to take Dowdle and give us back a sixth as part of the deal since we're getting low on picks.

Yes, Derrick Henry would be a great piece to add...

Derrick Henry trade rumors: Cowboys, Bills, Ravens among best fits if Titans deal veteran RB at deadline

https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl...cowboys-bills-ravens/e5d7e2f1353eef6b7178633b

Dallas Cowboys

Tony Pollard was expected to take over the Cowboys backfield after Ezekiel Elliott's offseason release. Pollard has received the bulk of the workload, but the results have been average at best. He is averaging 3.9 yards per carry and has just one game with over 100 rushing yards as a part of a Dallas offense that has the seventh-worst red-zone touchdown percentage in the NFL.

Henry would give Dallas a great, powerful complement to Pollard and would provide a serious boost to the team's scoring capabilities (Pollard has just two touchdowns on 29 red-zone carries). His presence would also allow Pollard to have fresher legs and make better use of his explosiveness as a playmaker.

While Henry looks like a great fit for the Cowboys, fans may want to temper their expectations. Why? The team's owner and general manager Jerry Jones indicated that he doesn't believe that Dallas needs to upgrade its roster significantly to be a Super Bowl contender.

“It’ll have to come our way,” Jones said on 105.7 The Fan Tuesday. “The initiation of an opportunity to make a trade at this time that would help us principally has to start on the other end.

“That’s not showing a lack of aggressiveness. It’s just that’s where it starts. I like where we are with our personnel today. So I’m not thinking in any way that we need to upgrade our roster."

But perhaps having an opportunity to land Henry will change his mind.

First off, I seriously doubt Dallas will make any type of significant trade at the trade deadline, just not a Jerry thing. Second, if we would make a trade then, for me, there are only two guys I would really consider.

The first guy would be Patrick Surtain, II CB Denver. I don't believe for a minute that Denver is going to trade him and if they did, then the cost would be high in at least a 1st round pick. But can you imagine having Surtain with Gilmore and Bland this year then next several years with Diggs and Bland. With the Thomas and Hooker are playing, our secondary would be 2nd to none.

The other guy would be Derrick Henry RB Titans. On the last year of his contract and we would only be responsible for a total of $5 million for the rest of this year. Pollard would be the main back still but Henry gives you the inside power game and ability to plow over people. Dowdle is still a factor but with Pollard, Henry becomes a difference maker. Cost to get him probably no more than a 4th if Jerry is smart and if the rumors are right about Titans wanting to dump Hopkins then make the deal of say Gallup, Kearse and a 4th for Henry and Hopkins. It improves the team and gives us a better shot against SF and Philly.

Now, will any of this happen, absolutely not but as a fan, it is nice to dream.

Reminder, the Cowboys traded away their 4th, 5th, and 6th round picks already.

But I would not trade for Henry anyway. I would rather trade for a young player in his prime. CB or DT. We could use a DT to replace Gallimore who is not good.

The problem is not at RB, the problem is Defenses are stacking the line 7 to 8 players to stop the run so Dak who is a inaccurate QB will pass the pass the ball

Normally, I'd agree, but 1. Jerry usually wastes them anyway and 2. It's Derrick Henry.

Broncos asking for 2 first round picks and pro bowl player for Surtain according to Denver source. So no way for getting him.
