Bledsoe wasn't brought here to be a stop gap...it's not like Henson is on the brink...at least not the brink of being a capable NFL starter. Bledsoe was brought here to QB and lead the Cowboys for as long as he can do it...Henson won't see the field unless he progresses to the point that he's so clearly superior that we are willing to live with his inexperienced mistakes.THEHEREAFTER said:I'm sure this question may have been presented before. Let's just assume that Bledsoe plays well and lead Big D to the playoffs. 10-6 or 11-5...3600 some odd yards 27 TD's and 14 int's 63% CP etc.. you get the idea of what a decent season for him might be like. Undoubtedly, Henson does not see the field yet again. I'm in full support of Bledsoe but does he come back in '06 as the starter? Where would this leave Henson? Any thoughts...?
At this point we need to be more concerned over when Henson will prove ready to at least be a capable backup QB...the idea that he's the future of the Cowboys grows more cloudy with every season.
