What if Kitna rattles off 8 straight wins...

Kitna is pushing 40, has no pocket presence and holds on to the ball too long. I'll be surprised if he's still starting 8 games from now.

Whoever compared this to the Kurt Warner situation, just stop. Warner was a guy who came out of nowhere. We know what we have in Kitna, and it's not Kurt Warner.

Kitna is barely above 1:1 TD to INT ratio for his career, and he fumbles about once a game too.

This is not some dominant defensive team like the Steelers who can overcome mediocre QB play. This is a team that couldn't even win with a QB on pace for over 5k yards and over 30 TDs.

It was me and it was a joke. Relax.
I disagree with you though, in that I think Kitna is quite capable of playing well. The reasons "this is a team that couldn't even win with a QB on pace for over 5k yards and over 30 tds" is because the QB doesn't play defense or O-line. When their play gets better, this team will win games, with or without Tony Romo.

It will probably be the first time in his career he has had 8 wins.
I didn't look it up, but I don't think he has been on very many winning teams.

:lmao: :lmao2: :laugh2: ...sorry, just the thought of that made me chuckle!

IF that does happen, and Romo isn't risking further damage and is completely healed by then...he plays! If they make that type of a run it won't be because Kitna's under center, it'll be because the team finally stopped acting like Rip Van Winkle & woke the HELL up!!

ABSOLUTELY. And so should you. I can't fathom the mentality of someone not wanting their team to make the playoffs. Seriously? :bang2:
Ok , come down to earth please.

It was a hypthetical answer to the hypothetical question. Getting to playoff is not the only goal . I guess we need to win a trophy. So in the hypthetical sense, even we reach playoffs and get beaten again like the Minny game last year , we will be back to square one.

We need a big change , our window is closing fast to reach the chanpionship. No time to guess and pray. We need a strong coaches and good assistant coaches and pick younger O-L , With Wade it is not gonna happen.

If....no I mean IF, Kitna can get this team to the playoffs he should go automaticly in the Ring of Honor.

He led the Seahawks to a playoff win and had a few decent years in Cincy. But be honest this guy has never had real good talent around him. He can put up the same type numbers Romo has. However, the issue here isn't QB play its a piss poor Oline, crappy defensive play, and a horrible HC

And mine was a hypothetical response to a hypothetical answer to a hypothetical question. What's wrong with that? If you think that an awful season is good for a team, you are the one who needs to come down to Earth. If you think that Wade prevents us from having a younger O-L, then you're the one who's dreaming. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, or that this team will make the playoffs....please, we're still looking for win #2, but if a team can rally around a backup player, it goes a long way for chemistry and grit.

If Kitna rattles off 8 straight, that means we will have fixed a ton of issues and Romo returning would put us over the top.

So, no, it's not going to happen and even if it did, QB is not the problem on this team.

When Romo is healthy, do we put him back in or bench him if Kitna has put us back in contention? Far-fetched, I know, but not out of the spectrum of possibility... something to think about.

What if I wake up a billionaire tomorrow...

This is a touch of something...

I know but I don't pay attention to the people who think they're funny. My question had to do with an IF (that is a possibility albeit far-fetched as I acknowledged in my original post). IF we had to make the decision to bench Tony becasue Kitna was on a streak, do we bench our Tony? It happend with Kolb and Vick. Not a perfect example but similar.

OP...why even try asking these types questions all you ever get are responses from people trying to be comedians.

If Kitna were to pull off winning 8 straight, you do not take him out even with a healthy Tony. I would just keep the streak going till broken.

Good luck with that. Listening to Bradie James it sounds more likely this team will quit.

I think those who quit should find themselves on another team next year. Champions don't quit, they work harder and smarter and they may get beat but they don't quit.

Kitna started off rusty but he got better as the game went on and I was happy to see him getting rid of the ball fast.

From another bob...point on. The team got kicked in the gut, recovered, and started to mix it up. At least they showed guts.
