Would tha change your opinion of the Dallas loss? What if they run up 48 points on all the rest of the teams?
Not at all. If Dallas had a defense that could control the run game, along with a decent run game of their own, they could also beat any team in the NFL. Lots of blame to go around the team, coaching, and front office for losing to GB, but if you lump all the losses together, the common issue is that the defense is one dimensional (they can only do one thing well - rush the QB and play man), and they are one dimensional on offense (they only do one thing well - the pass game). When you are one dimensional, it’s not that hard for a good team to take away some of your effectiveness at one thing and leave you trying to do what you stink at.
If Dallas can run the ball consistently, even if only gaining 3-4 yards per carry, and if they can stop the run, that makes our opponents play more one dimensionally on offense and forces their defense to defend 2 dimensions.
