Sorry, but it's all about the playoffs....24-10 doesn't mean a damn thing to me if we play tomorrow like we did last year against SF. I hope we do lay the wood to SF tomorrow....I'm just confused why regular season records have suddenly trumped post season success far as determining the future of our HC...we seem to be moving the goal post around a lot lately depending on what time of the season it is....along with forgetting all the "tough talk" after moments of failure.
Serious question, would you have fired Landry after the 1969 season? The Browns blew them out after a 12 win season in 1968. Then they won 11 games in 1969 and the Browns blew them out again. Would you fire Landry?

McCarthy has had us in playoffs 2 years in a row. not sure why you think he needs to be gone. I want him here.

I still remember EVERYONE....and I mean EVERYONE after last year's SF loss stating that we had to go DEEP into the playoffs this season for MM to keep his job...a large majority actually wanted him fired last year after the SF debacle. So, my question is this....what if we have another Washington performance tomorrow, where we totally crap the bed making mistakes and basically don't show up? Should ONE Wild Card victory against an 8-9 Division Winner save his job? I say hell no. When I started hearing five (5) minutes after the TB game that he was safe, I put my head in my hands in disbelief....I think it was WAY TO PREMATURE to call him safe late Monday evening. I still think we can do much better at HC and OC. BTW...if we lose a close one, I reserve the right to blame everything on Booger and Chuckles for the failure to add more weapons....SF already had more weapons on offense than us, and STILL went out and signed Christian McCaffery. I have a VERY bad feeling that he is going to go off tomorrow...hope not!!!
Not the biggest fan either and my successful season bar has never altered from an NFCCG appearance.

Maybe some fluke and luck combination finally falls on both this HC and QB combo of whom I am not the biggest believer in either.

Hope springs eternal,
Law of averages,
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut...

Maybe one of these corny sayings finally pans out in our favor despite my doubts.

Fingers crossed.

Look, people say stupid stuff all the time. If they later want to take back the stupid stuff and say smarter stuff, should we force them to stick to their original stupid statements? No, we should be happy they wised up.

I just don’t think there are any available candidates that are clear cut an improvement over Mike.

Pretty simple for me
If we don’t win tomorrow I fire all the coaches and hire Payton/Fangio

You're living in Lala land if you think we can do MUCH better at HC. Theres no HC out there with more skins on the wall than McCarthy. And please don't give me the Sean Payton mess. Mr I won 1 ring while having a HOF QB and missed the playoffs several times with him.

Not only that, we have to give up at least a first round pick for Payton. Maybe more. He's not worth it.

I'm not the world's biggest fan of McCarthy, and I did/do believe it was championship game or bust this season. I DO believe he's done enough for JJ though and in the end that's all that matters for this season. Keep in mind the Chargers fired Marty Schottenheimer after a 2 season record of 26-6 because of playoff woes, and Denver let John Fox walk after a 2 yr stent that saw them go 25-7 with a SB appearance. Rare, but there is a precedence of lack of playoff success costing very good coaches their jobs. As for who is available better than McCarthy: right, wrong or indifferent it was that mantra that kept Garret here for far to long

It was a ROAD playoff game, something this team has not won in 30 years.

It was also against the GOAT.

Fat Mike gets another season off that accomplishment alone...................now if we get beat like 57-3 or something like that, then things might be different. But barring a complete meltdown, you got to give him another season.

Not everyone, brother.

Mission #1: Succeed in the regular season. Check.

Mission #2: Success in the post season. Because almost every team is top shelf in the divisional round, a loss doesn’t necessarily mean failure. It depends on how that loss came about. Lose like the Giants did and we’ll have one hot fan base. Lose like the Jags did and we’re picking single plays that probably determined the outcome (The fumble inside the 5, for example). There’s always a meta outlook, but so far, we’re having a great season. Enjoy it.

I see this often but I'm not sure why. The Cowboys were first in scoring last season, and 4th in scoring this season despite Cooper-20 points-Rush starting 5 games.

How is Kellen Moore the problem?

Sure, we can argue about some play calls, but points are points. That's all that really matters.
Yeah, I dont think Moore is going to get fired even if we lose tommorow.

Same goes for Fat Mike, I think beating the GOAT on the road saved his job. Only way he was going to get fired was going one and done and since that didnt happen, he is safe.

Only coordinator I see leaving is Quinn and that is for a HC job.
