What if we face the Saints again in the playoffs?

Only this time, it would be in the dome. Who would have thought that our toughest obstacle would be the New Orleans Saints?

Furthermore, how would we handle it? Obviously, the Saints have our number, and I dont really forsee any way of combating a coach who knows what you're doing better than you do.

Saints have always owned us, and now thanks to Payton, Fujita, Copper, and Shanle we will be hard pressed to get a win against them the next decade.

:banghead:

I gotta think that the Boys would feel like they have something to prove in this hypothetical matchup.

And I'm not one of those who thinks two wins over us in 3 years means they "have our number." Too many people have changed on the roster.

And maybe we can decide to cover the FB.

Maybe we should look into playing more 1 gap against them? Try to get some penetration.

I imagine we'd be screwed again. Cause it's all about match-ups.

Kinda like how G.B. was screwed everytime they played us from 92-95. Yet they matched up better with the Niners while we always had our hands full with them.

This is just case where unless we get magically better at our particular weaknesses, we just have to hope someone else bumps them off and then we play that team.. who in most any other case we match up better against.

Did you just give up on us for the next decade?:banghead:

what's really disturbing is they slaughtered us without horn.

we would be better prepared but to win in the superdome would be next to impossible with the weapons they have.

We will rape their horses and ride off on their women!!!:starspin

And kick sand in their faces. And steal their kids candy as well.

NO played a great game- arguably the best game of their season. How often is that likely to happen- at the same time we arguably played our worst game of the season.

we will disembowel them then listen with joy at the lamentations of their fans.

I would hope that Dallas would study the tape and adjust...while playing with more fire.

To be honest, I would much rather face the Bears than the Saints.

How about the simple "law of averages" - its in our favor :D

Unfortunately, that only works with random events.

I think we lose again against the Saints. I don't have enough faith in the coaching staff to make adjustments.

I don't see why we should worry. In a Saints forum, some poster named Heavy hitta31 said;

WITHOUT the injuries Dallas is still a better team in my, and most opinions. The injuries just reinforce the fact for this game.

And our offense is #3 in yardage and #2 in PPG since Romo became the starter.

2. Reggie Bush said that the game has slowed down for him... look out this could spell trouble for all of the teams that we play the rest of the season
It better be slowing down, because Dallas has arguably the quickest lateral defense in football. That cute east/west dancing he does won't work come Sunday night.

and

Yes, IMO. I liken the Saints to the 2003 Cowboys. A good team with a new coach that took advantage of a lot of bad teams on their schedule, but lost the "big" games, especially late in the season and made a quick first round exit.

I would not be surprised if Dallas beats New Orleans pretty handily. The Saints simply havent played a team this balanced on offense and defense yet.
So I don't see what we have to worry about.;)
