What if we face the Saints again in the playoffs?

I would love to meet them again, there is no way we play the same as we did. It would not go down the same. And well if it did, oh well than it wasn't meant to be, but I would love to meet them again, to show them "who dat" is. "Hi I'm a lombardi trophy the Cowboys have five and I don't even know of this saints team you speak of."

Only this time, it would be in the dome. Who would have thought that our toughest obstacle would be the New Orleans Saints?

Furthermore, how would we handle it? Obviously, the Saints have our number, and I dont really forsee any way of combating a coach who knows what you're doing better than you do.
They will spread us out, force our safeties to cover, and without a consistent pass rush,we will be in alot of trouble. Our offense will have to play alot better, and keep us into it.

I gotta think that the Boys would feel like they have something to prove in this hypothetical matchup.

And I'm not one of those who thinks two wins over us in 3 years means they "have our number." Too many people have changed on the roster.

And maybe we can decide to cover the FB.

That is the problem. We never learn from our mistakes. The same people on the same teams continue to beat the snot out of us and rub our noses in it. In our division, there are certain players that rant and rave against us and c all out our players and then they have their way with the very players they called out. It appears our players get intimidated when other players threaten them.

Has Roy been near as effective since Shockey called him out and said he was an ankle tackler? I would like to see him make some ankle tackles instead of continuing to hand grab the runners and get trampled. When is the last time Roy has made a bone jarring tackle?

First it is iffy for us to make it that far but if we were to meet the Saints again what do you really think would change? Same old, same old. Brees could wear a suit and tie and starched white shirt and wouldn't have to worry about getting a smudge on it. The only thing is that he might work up a sweat throwing so many TDs. Of course he could take the 4th quarter off like he did last Sunday. He never left the game but he only took the snap and handed off. I must say for our team though, it isn't often that a QB can beat the tar out of us where the game is over after 3 quarters. Most of the time when we lose it is in the last few minutes of the 4th quarter.

Not let our safeties get in 1 on 1 with Devry Henderson who runs a 4.0 40 maybe?

Pressure Brees more by moving Ware around?

Run more than 12 times in the game?

Not fall asleep on special teams?

Have some refs that know their butt from their elbows?

Anything else?

I would hope that we found a way to get more pressure on Brees, and use a "spy" on Bush like Tampa used to do with vick.

Well,

Is Roy Williams still singled on Devry Henderson and the deep safety on Cover 1 plays?

Is the game plan nothing but boring deep throws to T.O?

Do III/Jones get more than 17 carries?

Do we continue to let the Saints exploit the Flats and refuse to adjust?

Last but not least...is Keith Davis still the starter at FS?

If yes to all of these questions, then we lose.

Who knows what would happen if the Cowboys actually showed up to the game instead of what they did this past weekend. :(
