Better yet, since he has a much better pocket presence, and is mobile...Why didnt he throw the ball away instead of a sack or INT ?

Well, everyone has said that Bledsoe won against bad opponents.

I'm just asking what the team should do if it turns out that Romo is worse.

I dont wont people to get me wrong, I really hope Romo goes undefeated and wins it all. It is just to early to even know if he can get the team to the line of scrimage and get the ball snapped on time.

My anger is directed at Romo. My anger is directed at my franchise who with this move has proven that didn't have a plan to win this year.

It may work out fine, but the odds are that playoff hopes are gone. I was thinking we had a franchise that would plan better than to put superbowl hopes on a guy who may or may not be able to compete in the league.

His first test was Monday night. It was a miserable failure. The second test is tomorrow. How many does he get?

2005
4-5 against teams over .500.
5-2 against under .500 teams.(Including 2 over the Eagles, who are slightly improved.)

2006
0-3 against teams over .500. (0-2 if you choose to credit Monday's loss to Romo.)
3-0 against -.500 teams

Last 16 games: 8-8 record. 19 TDs, 21 INTs.

Last 10 years, barely over .500 winning percentage, 1 playoff win.

That's 4-8(4-7) against winning teams and 8-2 against losing teams. Probably won't meet too many losing teams in the playoffs, so what's the point of postponing the almost inevitable? Don't blame Romo for that loss though. If Bledsoe wasn't making poor decisions and rookie mistakes, we wouldn't have switched to an inexperienced QB. The fact that a coach who is loathe to change from veteran QB he trusts and respects should speak volumes, if nothing else does.

That is why I have been saying we should have been playing the young QB's for the last two years. We wasted 2 years and 6 games on geriatric QB's. If we had been playing Romo during that span we would have a QB 2 and 1/2 years of experience starting this weekend.

We didn't have any young qbs who were READY for the field

Interesting question.

I've got to wonder what life would be like if Bledsoe hadn't sucked so hard that he forced Parcells' hand to pull the plug on one of his favorite players during halftime of a nationally televised Monday-Nighter.

O, what might have been.....

Now thats funny. Nice job.

Cowboys knew what they were getting. Thats what scares me.

There are now (IMO) at least 4 circumstances that Bill brought in a player that was a questionable at best decision for the future.

Why? What has the kid done?

I have spent the last 2 years defending Bleadsoe from idiots who made up their mind about him the minute he was signed ....

Hopefully I will spend the next few years defending Romo from the same ......

Give the kid a chance before you crucify him ....... He may be very good.

Don't get too giddy. You might feel faint.

Besides, it was all part of the master plan to get Romo in, reenact the Brady situation, and one-up Bellichick before his final retirement. This should really be obvious to anyone paying attention.

Sometimes you make decisions for the now. Sometimes those are right. If Bledsoe was even performing close to last year's level currently, the outlook here would be much brighter.

Let him talk Zrin - I'm sure he's well aware of what's wrong with his team. Unfortunately for Skins fans, there is no "savior" waiting in the wings behind Carter, Archuletta, and Lloyd. And the coaching staff has such little respect for the perceived "savior" that he can't manage anything more than third string.

Skins fans will tell you that's all part of the development -but we know better. We;ve been there before. ;)

:bang2:

Never wanted any of those guys. I wanted Will Witherspoon, I wanted to keep Ryan Clark, I wanted to go with Moss, Patten, and Randle El. Then the Commanders could have drafted one of several players I was more interested in (Justice as one example) .

I would love to see all your boys that were in here over the summer, jocking Lloyd to me. His hands, lack of consistency, and production that was solely the function of being the only option on a terrible offense discarded, obviously the great Saunders would make it work.

I wonder where they are?

Probably wondering why their great minds in the front office (read: Cerrato :D ) assembled all this "talent" and forgot to obtain someone to deliver the ball to them.

Which is, coincidentally, what everyone here wonders as well.

Lets not talk about some of these random OL players that certainly havent improved the OL thus far. Or the "player", etc.

The irony is that if Romo had taken sacks instead of turning the ball over three times we would have had a better chance of winning that game.

Ironically, he needed to play more like Bledsoe to have a chance to "win now".

To win tomorrow, he cant throw six interceptions. He will need to play more like Bledsoe than he did last week.

That hurts.

at least 'the player' has at least 2 TDs, actually, his TDs are more big plays than Randle-El, Lloyd, Carter and Archuleta have put up

COMBINED

1 long punt return by Randle El, 2 sacks by Carter, and um...yeah, that's about it, compared to 5 Owen TDs

and Kosier has been a stout run blocker

edit: add a receiving TD for both Lloyd and Randle-El, and a sack by Archuleta

maybe I'm a little off, but 1 more big play by 4 players against 1 player, big whoop

I cant believe what I just read. Those passes that were for a INT...Those were Bledsoe passes. The only difference is one, maybe two came outside the pocket. But yeah your right. Let him play like Bledsoe and stand in the pocket for what seems an eternity and get sacked. Lets see him make bad throws and decisions.

What hurts is your posts. Romo is the starter and Bledsoe is out. Get over it.

Ok, tomorrow is a big game. Romo fans are telling me we made the switch because Bledsoe cant win the big games. They tell me that he wins against the bad teams, but cant win in the big games. The conclusion is that Romo can win the big games.
Explain to me again how you draw that conclusion.

Has he said anything that made sense in this thread? He's basing his conclusion off of being a Bledstone lover and a Romo Hater.
