bledsoe dosen't throw that INT, doesnt get benched, and we have another 9-7 season. out in the first round?

Do we draft Brady Quinn?

Do we get spencer?

Does big Bill retire?

How differnet woud our team be?

I think Bill still retires, and there is a good chance that we might have drafted Brady Quinn. I know after what Romo showed in preseason we really liked him but with a new coaching staff coming in and an old Bledsoe Quinn might have been too much to pass up. I'd say it would have been a 65% chance of drafting quinn and a 35% chance of doing exactly what we did.

I doubt that Bledsoe would have been able to reverse his miscues enough so in order to prevent Romo from taking his place. He might have been able to delay it somewhat, but he was starting to slide pretty badly by the time he was benched.

With a new coach who knows nothing about Tony Romo (assuming he didnt play in the regular season) I think we would have taken Quinn...maybe even traded up to get him.

What if Carter managed to abstain from Pot in the Summer of 2004?

Do you guys remember our QB depth chart going into that traning camp?

Carter Testeverde Henson Romo

With Testeverde as #2 and Henson as our long term project,
there is no way ROMO EVEN MAKES OUR 2004 OPENING DAY ROSTER.

NO THAT'S A TERRIBLE "WHAT IF". THANK GOD FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE.:)

It wouldn't have mattered and we wouldn't have gone 9-7 because Randy Moss, Steven Jackson, and Shawne Merriman would have still gone on to have monster seasons for us... leading us to our 10th consective Super Bowl.

Carter was going to be waived anyway unless he lit TC up. The plan as far back as March of 2004 was to go with Vinny and the 2 young backups.

Q: Why did the monkey fall out of the tree?

A: Because it was dead.

Not sure why, but just felt it needed to be in this thread.

What if all of our Cowboys heroes were immortal and could continue to play in their primes forever under a never aging Tom Landry. We would never lose and we win the SB every year.

Oh wait, that's just how it is in my head. Sorry.
