What industry do you all work in?

I work in data analytics and supply chain management. I also have a few side businesses...one is my own data analysis consulting company working for some professional sport organizations and working with PGA Tour golfers. I'm part owner in a ticket brokerage company as well as part owner in a testing facility.

I don't care if a man is a ditch digger. As long as he has a star on his hard hat he's ok with me!

Go through the entire book Cracking the Coding Interview. Understand all the basic data structures, searches and sorts (lots of videos on YouTube). Get very comfortable in at least one language. Know its features and how it compares and contrasts to some other languages. Have a project to talk about (build a website that does something for example). Udacity has lots of nanodegrees that go pretty in depth in projects designed by companies (you can do the nanodegrees for free even though it tries to make you pay). Then start interviewing at companies. You should also focus on what you'd like to do (web development, machine learning, etc).
